Kat's love

chapter 4

The next morning Kat felt like she was walking on clouds. She could stop smiling. She and Felisha quickly ate breakfast and headed off to school.

Felisha and Kat parted ways when they got to school. Felisha went to find Moxon and Kat decided to go to her locker first. There she found her cousin Aurora waiting.

"Hey Ro, What's up?" Kat said and her cousin just shrugged. Kat knew she just wanted the notes from there science class. Aurora was on the cheer squad and had to keep certain grades or she would lose her spot but she hated doing the work. She always relied on Kat for help even though she acted like Kat was beneath her. The only time she was actually nice to Kat was when she was trying to get Moxon to notice her there Freshman year.

While Kat was getting the notes, some of Aurora's friends walked up. They started talk to eachother like Kat wasn't there.

"Ro did you hear the news?" the first one said.

"What?"

"There's a hot new guy starting today."

"Oh really..." Ro's eyes lit up.

"Yeah but I heard he already has a girlfriend and she goes her as well." the second one chimed in.

"Yeah but when has that ever mattered before?" the first one said.

'True' Kat thought 'There hasn't been a guy yet that hasn't left is girlfriend for Ro. Well exceptMoxon of course' Kat knew they were talking about Erik. 'But he's not your typical guy. He wouldn't do that to me' Kat finished her thought then handed the notes to Ro.

"We will just have to see what happens." Ro said. She took the notes without saying a word to Kat and left with her friends.

Kat collected her stuff and headed to the commons where she thought Erik would be waiting for her. However when she got there she found she found out was wrong and he wasn't there yet. Kat decided to wait and not even two minutes later someone had covered her eyes with his big hands.

The person whispered in her ear, "Guess who!"

Kat recognized Erik's voice. She decided to be playfully flirtatious and said "I don't know, Can I get a hint?"

Keeping his hand on her eyes, Erik moved in front of her. He bent down and kissed her. Without breaking the kiss, Kat wrapped her arms around his neck. He finally removed his hand from her eyes so he could wrap them around her waist and pulled her close. Kat wanted everyone to see that he was with her and she wouldnt stand aside for anyone.

When they finally stopped kissing, Erik said, "Hi cutie."

"Hi" Kat said sheepishly.

Just then Felisha and Moxon walked up. Moxon said to Erik, "Hey man, what's your first class?"

"English. How about you guys?"

"With Miss. Krutz?" Moxon asked and Erik nodded, "Cool me, too."

"I have French." Felisha chimed in not sounding happy about it at all.

"I have math." Kat said.

Moxon said "Let's see the rest of your schedule." Erik gets the paper out and hands ot to Kat. Everyone looks at Erik's schedule.

"Well it looks like after you have Eglish with Moxon, you have history then science with me. Then you have math and none of us we with you but my cousin is in that class and then we all have art for our last class." Kat announces.

"Sweet dude we get to start the day and end the day together and it looks like we have lunch together too." Moxon said excitedly. Moxon had a tendency to act like a kid in a candy store.

"But not the girls?" Erik asked sounding slightly disappointed.

"No unfortunately, we have B lunch while you guys have A." Kat answered him, sounding just as disappointed as Erik.

"Bummer. So where is your math class at anyway?" Erik asked kat.

"Just down the hall there." Kat said and pointed toward her classroom.

"Hey dude im gonna walk Kat to her class then we can head to ours, cool?" Erik said to Moxon.

"Yeah Felisha's class is down the same hall as ours so we'll wait for you here." Moxon responded.

Erik wrapped his arm around Kats shoulders and they made there way to her class. During the whole short walk Kat could feel everyone's eyes on them. she could hear some people whispering.

"Omg he is so cute..."

"I wish he'd hold me like that..."

"Why her?..."

"What does he see in her?..."

"Wow she so lucky..."

The whole situation made Kat feel really self conscious. She felt like hiding and her face turned red. She tried to hide in Erik's hold on her.

When they got there Erik kissed her again and when they broke they kiss, Kat seen Mike walk by them. Mike was as attractive as always. Mike was the typical Blonde hair blue eyed popular boy. His hair short but shaggy and the blue in his eyes was almost a crystal color. He was six foot three with a physical build and his smile could make you melt. All the girls were attracted to him.

She got worried he would do something but he just ignored them. Kat had know Mike since they were four years old and as long as she could remember he never out right ignored her. So this was new and very weird to Kat.

Erik drew Kat's attention back to him, "Hey, where did that cute head of yours wander off to?"

"Huh? Oh, no where."

"Okay then... Anyway I was say I'll meet you here after class okay?"

"Yup" Kat said beaming up at him. At that moment the bell rang. They kissed one last time, then Erik left and Kat went to class.

Kats math class seemed to just fly by. Kat's thoughts kept drifting to Mike and how her didn't say anything before class. He didn't even look her way at all during the class either. This was really starting to worry her but she wasn't sure what exactly she was worried about. That worrying ended when her class ended when Mike walked over to her all obnoxiously.

"So that's the guy from the dance?" He asked kat, "What is he your boyfriend now?" His tone was teasing but his eye showed, at least to Kat, his anger.

"Yes!" Kat responded simply.

"so you gonna tell me his name now?"

"Erik." Kat said wanting this conversation to end.

"Why would you want him when you have me?" The people around them laughed but Kat new better then to think he was joking. He was doing this to remind her of there last conversation.

Kat was done backing down though, so as her response she said "First of all I dont have you. Second I dont want you. Lastly Erik is sweeter and way cuter then you are."

Kat wasn't sure she felt that her statement was true but after Mike just stood there dumbfounded she followed up with, " What no bone head comments?"

Kat waited again and Mike just stood there staring at her, seething with anger. She decided she was done with this and said, "I guess not. Look why dpnt you just go act your age, not six.... Just leave me alone Mike and stay out of my life."

The class just was hooting and laughing and the whole scene. Mike stormed out of the room and Kat was feeling such a mix of emotions. She felt proud she had finally stood up for herself and angry that Mike thought he could control her. However she was also feeling worried, worried that this wouldn't be the end of it, but also that Mike might actually ignore her now. That last thought made her feel both sad and confused because she knew she shouldn't feel that way about him.

When the bell rang Kat was still struggling with her feeling. However she collected her stuff and went to find her actual boyfriend.
