Training

When Vanessa arrived at the training center Jasmine was already stretching. Vanessa hurried and changed into her workout gear in the locker rooms. She ran out and picked a spot next to Jasmine. While the girls were stretching doing a quick warm up the rest of the class found their spots. Vanessa and Jasmine were busy catching up and didn't notice the girl who picked a spot behind them until she accidently bumped into Vanessa making her fall forward.

“Oops, I’m sorry. I’m so clumsy I tripped. Are you ok?” Sarah gushed out. Vanessa was frustrated but put on a smile letting her know everything was ok and continued working out with Jasmine. “What was that? It didn’t seem like an accident to me. She seemed to be kind of fake with that smirk on her face.” Jasmine whispered to Vanessa. “I’ll tell you when we get to the apartment. Let’s just focus on training right now.” They took turns sparing together like the Coach directed the class. Vanessa was able workout some of her frustration. After class they went to shower and change for their last class of the day. Which luckily went smoothly.

For dinner Vanessa and Jasmine met with Jaxson and the rest of the guys in the dining hall. Vanessa immediately noticed Marcus with his friends and Sarah at their regular table. It looked like Sarah was trying to be close while Markus was trying to scoot away. Vanessa started looking around and saw Tristan with his friends a few tables away from her they waved at each other and that was it. Jasmine tried to rush through dinner to get Vanessa back to the apartment and find out all the juicy details.

The girls grabbed some snacks and drinks to take back to their apartment. Once in their apartment they spread out the snacks and Jasmine said, “OK explain.” Vanessa no started telling her about how she noticed the sent around campus but couldn't find the source. How she kept getting drawn to that guy whenever they were in the same room. How she had the dreams about him the first night and that's what caused her to wake up early. She finished with explaining about how she followed the scent and ended up seeing her mate with another woman in his arms and how that woman was bragging to her class about how amazing her boyfriend is. That woman turned out to be Sarah’s the one who pushed her in training. “Oh my gosh Vanessa, I can't believe this is happening to you. You found your mate, and all of this is happening. I can't believe she pushed you it won't happen again. What do you think is going to happen with your mate?” Sarah started asking. “Honestly, I don't know. He hasn't even tried talking to me and he's still walking around with her. Who knows what else they're doing. I know I deserve more than this and I respected the mate bond my whole life and I deserve to at least be acknowledged.” Vanessa replied. “Ok, so I noticed you waved at Tristan at dinner and that you disappeared with him for lunch. What is going on with you guys?” Jasmine questioned Vanessa. “Umm so I decided to start dating. If my mate can have a girlfriend. A serious girlfriend. Then why can’t I move on with my life and see what is out there. I’m done waiting for my mate. I found him and so far, I don’t think he’s a keeper. He’s not even brave enough to talk to me or leave his girlfriend. Everyone knows how special your true mate is and how important it is for an Alpha. He won’t be as strong without me and he’s willing to risk that for her. So yeah, I’m going to give Tristan a chance and start dating him. We exchanged numbers and have been texting today. He’s going to call me later.” Vanessa explained. “Oh snap. Get it girl. I support you one hundred percent on this. I’ve always told you that you deserve to be happy. So just make sure you are putting yourself first and finding out what you want and go for it.” Jasmine told her while giving her a big hug. They decided to call it a night and go to their rooms. Vanessa received a call from Tristan, and they talked late into the night. Getting to know each other more.

Meanwhile, Markus and his friends were in their apartment in a heated conversation. Sarah once again tried to stay the night, but all the guys told her to leave. Alex was asking Markus what is going on with his mate situation. “Markus, you found your mate this morning and you’re still walking around with Sarah all over you. What are you doing? What if she rejects you. You know as an Alpha that would make you weaker. Have you even talked to her?” Alex asked. “Yeah. As your Gamma and one of your best friends I feel like you’re messing up. You have let this thing with Sarah go on to long. She’s not even nice to the Omegas or anyone at the pack. She bosses everyone around and threatens them because she’s ‘your future Luna’ It’s not cool.” Devin spoke up. “WOW. I thought you guys were cool with Sarah. It’s hard because I love her, but I can’t deny that my wolf wants her. He keeps telling me to find her and mark her. I can’t hurt Sarah like that.” Markus let out while pacing the room. Alex replied “Sarah was cool in the beginning when you first started dating but over time, she started getting more demanding and belittling members of the pack. I think you should put some space between you guys and at least talk to your mate. She saw you with Sarah all over campus.” Markus let out a sigh. “I don’t know man, this whole situation sucks. I need some time to think. I’m going to go out for a run and let my wolf out. I’ll see you guys later.” With that Markus walked out and disappeared for the night.
