Chapter 7 A Devious Woman is Revealed

A few days have passed, Mirror palace has been on Lockdown, all Ignis gaurds have been disarmed and imprisoned. The King of Ignis and his sister has been imprisoned to their rooms. All activities have been stopped and everyone was closely monitored when chatting with one another or simple tea parties between noble maidens were done. Lilith wasn't pleased with this but she must comply to be the least of everyone's suspicions.
"My Lady, the Royal Ivestigator is here!" Cried a maid.
"Let him in..." Lilith was calculating so she should act calm, right? Wrong. The Royal Investigator was appointed by his majesty in the beginning of his reign. His name was Shawn Abella the brother of Fantasia his eyes knows all and sees all.
He saw through Lilith's disguise before and he can certainly do it again.
"Lady Lilith, how are you? I'm sure you've been well last time you ahem, tried to and I quote rebel because you wanted the kingdom for yourself." Shawn pulled a handkerchief and cleaned his hands as he touch his note pad.
"Tell me, Lady Lilith, what were you doing earlier today? Shawn narrowed his eyes at the woman who instantly became nervous.
"I didn't mean to startle you, Lady Lilith but tell me...Did you have anything to do with what happen to the King, Fantasia and the Bride?"
Lilith sticks her nose up in the air in a humph as if she denied the inevitable answer that escaped her lips.
"No, I didn't even leave my room that day but, I heard the bride wanted to run away so she stagged her escape with two strangers. She might have been having an affair!"
Shawn frowned he can see right through her pathetic lie but he still kept nodding and pretend to listen.
"Alrighty, Lady Lilith, I will go now." Shawn nodded to the gaurds as he leaved to go to the royal infirmary.
In her fit of rage and panic, Lilith threw a cup to the floor smashing it at the maid. Causing the poor maid to bleed heavily.
"Take this maid away! I can't stand the sight of blood!"
-In the infirmary-
Derrick sat up in the infirmary sipping on a bowl of medicine, Fantasia was still healing, Celine was still fast asleep. The door of the castle infirmary opens and Shawn comes up to Derrick.
"Shawn, what have you found?" asked Derrick as he finished the bowl of medicine.
"Lady Lilith is bold, she hid her emotions but she slipped up on one thing...she made an intresting inquiry...Stating that her highness was leaving to escape with a lover but gaurds said otherwise when they found Fantasia holding Celine." Shawn sat on Fantasia bed and wipes her forehead with a towel.
"How dare Lilith make such an accusation! The evidence is stacked against her!"
Derrick grimace as he place the bowl on the nightstand of his infirmary bed.
"Issue is, we can't execute or put her to trial since she carries a, as I quote an "heir" ." Shawn tone becomes bitter as he watched his sister healing.
As Celine opened her eyes slowly all she can hear is the echo of voices in the room. Her vision was blurry but she understood she was knocked out for a while.
"That baby in her stomach is not mine. I don't know where that devious woman got that notion of blackmailing me with a child that's not mine! Along with threatening my soon to be wife!" Derrick almost chocked on his medicine as he stated this causing Celine to sit up quickly.
"That child is not yours?" Celine voice was soft yet hoarse from her slumber.
"Of course not dear but, I know the child that you'll provide for me will be mines." Derrick gave a flirtatious side glance causing Celine to blush madly.
"Ah, My lady Celine, how's your head? That witch Lilith never learns! She almost sold you to the other nations and she harmed my dear sister." Shawn stated as he stood up from Fantasia's bed and walked over to Celine quickly bowing.
"Ah, who are you?" stated Celine confused but she feels a familar aura.
"Pardon me, my name is Shawn Abella, Fantasia's little brother." Shawn bows again bashfully.
"Fantasia's brother...Wait, Fantasia!" Celine quickly jumped out of bed and went to Fantasia's side.
"What happened?!" stated Celine as she stared down at Fantasia.
"She got seriously injuried saving you, she sacrificed herself instead of sending gaurds to save you."
Celine eyes widden as Shawn's words stabbed her heart, she was crushed that Fantasia was hurt all because of her.
"I can never thank Fantasia so much for what she done, I will reward her for her for greatness, anything she wants." Derrick looked away towards the infirmary window as he watched the snow fall.
"Hear, my order, I want a trial to be conducted against Lilith Warwick! With evidence of the gaurds and the offical plate of Ignis on them was found we can start trial now!" Derrick got out of bed quickly but suddenly clutch his shoulder in pain.
"Agh!" he cried in pain.
"Derrick! Stop, you need to heal!" Celine hugged him from behind. Derrick blushed a little then stopped. Celine's warmth just drives him to punish Lilith more.
"Alrighty, but since you healed up. Why don't you call the order. Here's the Queen's sceptor."
The sceptor that seems familar to Celine as the globe in the rod swirls with stars and moons. Celine was about to kneel but Derrick stopped her quickly.
"You must never kneel in front of me. I will feel guilty." Celine looked at Derrick in such a way of confidence that it makes his heart soften. "You're the Queen and you're my only Queen. Start making your orders more prominent!"
Celine walked out the infirmary with the scepter and walked towards the main hall to the throne room surprising the officials, dukes and duchesses.
"My order as acting regent, I will judge the trial for my poor injuried fiancé, injuried me and Fantasia Abella. Bring forth Lilith Warwick! Her punishment is due!"
As Lilith is dragged into the courtroom she started acting vulnerable.
"Your highness! what have I done wrong?" Lilith cried as she struggled out of the gaurds hands.
"Lilith, do you admit your crimes?" Celine crossed her legs as she sat up in the throne. Everyone whispered as they doubt or they're curious of Lilith.
"What crimes? Your highness you must be jealous as it seems you're trying to frame me to get out of punishment for having an affair! You eloped with a man!" Lilith smirk widden as she stared Celine dead in eye. Celine didn't flinched then summon the gaurds and the evidence of the Ignis kingdom name emblem.
"You dare state I have an affair the gaurds have found these on the men that kidn*pped me."
"SO?! THAT COULD BE JUST AN ATTEMPT TO FRAME ME!!" Lilith bare her teeth as she screamed wildly like an animal.
"Oh, I'll just bring the king in." Celine gesture her hand to a maiden to retrieve the king.
Leo watched from the other side of the room just to view his sister idiotic rambles. Leo was hunting and flirting with maidens that he didn't notice his sister got so deep in the plan that she can't dug herself out.
Derrick came in being helped by Shawn as he approached the throne room.
"Lilith, I watched one of your men try to shoot Celine while we were hunting on horseback! After I fell off the horse, Celine lost control and hit her head....She was with me the whole time until the blood loss got to me and I watched her get dragged away!!" Derrick voice boomed in the throne, silencing rumors and causing more gossip to start immediately. "You dare say she was having an affair you insolent woman!"
Lilith face went pale, she didn't know she offended Celine this much and Derrick was with her. She realize it's too late to make an excuse and the evidence was stacked against her.
"Worst of all, that child in your stomach is not mine."
Lilith eyes widden, she didn't know the King was this smart to know she paid a servant girl that looked like her to take her spot on that night before her demotion.
"Hah! Ha! Ha! I can never win right? I tried earning your love and power. This child is useless, right? We will see, when they take your place ruling your kingdom!" Lilith insane laughter filled in the silence as she glared at the couple.
"Gaurds take this woman to the dungeon, execute her in the morning!" Derrick ordered as the gaurds surround her.
Leo summoned a magic circle around Lilith causing her to disappear and Leo appeared.
"Derrick, you tried to attempt to execute my sister our alliance is broken! Prepare for war!"
Leo shouted as he vanished as well.
Derrick knew what he have done but at least he was glad that Celine was safe from harm.
