Eric is spending this weekend at the fire station, doing his round of part-time on-call hours. Matthew and I always try to use this one on one time to reconnect, which is not always easy when you have two children living in the house. Hence, we try.
However, this weekend was especially important to us, since our family has made a decision to try adding a new tiny member. Matthew made reservations at one of the kids favorite ‘fancy pants’ restaurants. It’s a hibachi style place, where they cook the food right in front of you. I’ll miss the days when they grow up and stop thinking this is cool. Kyle finally caught the shrimp in his mouth this visit. Though I never did find the bottom of that Mai Tai.
Now that we’re home
