"You just have to wait there, Ambrose. James will be there in a second," Devas said and left Ambrose's head.
Ambrose looked for a place near the club to sit and he made himself comfortable sitting on a chair beside a light pole.
His demeanor catches the attention of the people passing by. His golden ash hair paired with a jaw-dropping face and a masculine figure entices every eye that lands on him.
"You must be Ambrose." Ambrose jolted in surprise. A man beside him just appeared as he had teleported in time.
The man laughed at Ambrose's reaction. "Relax, man. I'm James, Devas told me to pick you up so here I am." James winked at him.
Unlike Ambrose's muscular body figure, James' body is a slim built figure. James' appearance also attracts anyone's eyes. Well, Ercians have an appealing figure and appearance and it is only common to look beautiful and handsome in Ercia.
What matters in Ercia is how modest the Ercians would live their lives, that's why beauty is not something as great as morals do.
"How did you-" Ambrose cut his words, instead, he asked a question, "Are you an Ercian?"
James chuckled and said, "Bingo!"
James stood up and looked at the crowd. "What a wonderful sight," James breathed.
"Wonderful sight? Come on, it's far from Ercia's peaceful place." Ambrose leered.
"Well, yes it's far from Ercia's peaceful environment that's why it's not boring to live here on Earth." James rebutted. "Anyways, let me take you to my house." James reached Ambrose's hand and snapped his fingers to teleport to his house.
"Cool power," Ambrose said in a dry tone.
"Wow, you sound amused. Thanks, man." James teased Ambrose. "By the way, this will be your room in the meantime. It doesn't have much you see. I didn't know that Devas would be calling me to help another Ercian." James opened the door of a room where Ambrose would be staying.
The room is painted a color of light pink and Ambrose could see a crib placed in the corner of the room. "What's this?" Ambrose asked in curiosity.
Ambrose noticed how James brushed off the sadness on his face after hearing his question. "Well, that's something I assume I'd have," James uttered. James turned on his back leaving Ambrose alone in the room.
----------------------------------------
"Wake up! It's time to fetch some ladies, Ambrose," said James, his voice filled with cheerfulness.
James opened the window and the light illuminated the room, making Ambrose squint his eyes. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" Ambrose asked irritatedly as he adjust his eyes to the light. He made himself sit on the bed and yawned between brushing his hair with his hand. "It's too early for your cheerful demeanor, could you please tone it down?"
James laughed at Ambrose's words. "Silly, get up already. Help me prepare breakfast," James uttered.
Ambrose followed James downstairs and they made their way to the kitchen. "What are we going to do with a breakfast?" Ambrose asked. He still doesn't know what breakfast means.
"Well, breakfast is when we're going to eat toast and egg in the morning. It's the time when humans call to eat every morning. Breakfast is for mornings, lunch is for noons, and dinner is for nighttime. Got it?" James explained.
"I don't care, I eat whenever I'd feel like eating," Ambrose spat.
James chuckled and said, "Well, that's how other humans do so go ahead. Do what you please."
James inserted two slices of bread in the toaster and he made them a coffee while Ambrose is just looking at him sitting on the table chair. James placed the toasted bread and coffee on the table then he also get the butter in one of the cabinets placed above the sink.
"This tastes good when you put butter on it," said James while spreading some butter on his toasted bread.
Ambrose also did the same and took a bite of his toasted bread, it taste good indeed. He also took a sip of his coffee and got burned by it. "What the hell is this? Why is it hot?" He exclaimed.
"Chill, man. That's how I like my coffee, but you can also serve it cold. I just don't like it and it cost a fortune when you buy coffee in restaurants so you better appreciate that." James blows his coffee a couple of times before slowly sipping on it. "That's how you drink hot coffee, Ambrose."
Ambrose copied how James drank his coffee. He slowly took a sip of his coffee after a couple of blows. "Yeah, taste good"
James looked at Ambrose enjoying a simple breakfast in his home. He remembers that the last time that he had someone join him in breakfast was years ago. It kind of makes him feel comfortable.
A cellphone was placed on the table by James. "Do you know this one?" James asked. He turned on the phone by tapping the phone twice.
Ambrose looked amused by the phone. "What is that? Is that also your power?"
"This is not a power, man," James laughed. "this is what everyone uses to contact someone."
"You mean you can talk to anyone with that thing?" Ambrose was even more amused with what the phone could do as James nodded in answer. "Then can I talk to the woman I met yesterday?" Ambrose asked.
James looked at him with a playful smile. "Aren't you moving too fast, my friend?" He teased Ambrose.
Ambrose couldn't believe how unserious James is. Devas sent them to Earth to succeed on their mission but he could see that James seems to enjoy his stay here on Earth. "It's not moving too fast, I'm just trying to do my mission," Ambrose said.
James didn't buy Ambrose's words and continued showing Ambrose his playful look to teas Ambrose even more. "Relax. Tell me her name and I'll find her for you," James uttered and opened his instafriend, a social media application where people post their pictures and send messages to their friends and even to people who they don't know.
"Does it needs her name? I forgot to ask her name." Ambrose snatched the phone from James' hands.
"Of course, you need to know her name before you can send her a message," James explained.
Ambrose felt the frustration eating him again. "What a useless thing." Ambrose throws the phone from his hands.
Ambrose's actions made James facepalm and shook his head. "No wonder Devas didn't help you to find the woman you have a mission with," James mumbled.
