Later the next day, Lucien took her to Ariel's painting studio, another first. The penthouse place was up another staircase, at another end of the house. She swore that she would loose her way about if Lucien wasn't there to guide her. Every corridor seemed to lead to somewhere else, every staircase seemed to have its own unexpected destination. She thought once of having him map the layout; that way she could get her bearings, but she never got around to asking him. In Ariel's studio, it was dustier than anywhere in the house.
