Chapter Eight Dana woke the next morning feeling the exhilarating warmth of the sun immediately set the mood for a less troubling day. She lay looking towards the window on a morning that would be a cloudless blue with a hint of a spring breeze. It was already spring around her in this room with fields of flowers strewn everywhere. There were even fresh yellow roses on the table by the window. Thinking that Lucien was still in bed with her, Dana turned over to stroke his face and perhaps tease his lips with kisses. But to her surprise he was gone. Just wrinkled sheets remained to show that he'd slept there next to her all night long. She remembered his warm body just before dawn when she snuggled in next to it.
