Chapter Nine Dana was in the middle of reviewing photographs. There were hundreds heaped on her coffee table, piles of them to sort, and there were a dozen ways to sort them. In the midst of trying to make some sense out of Ariel's distinctly "blue" period, Dana thought she heard the key in the lock of her front door. Jumping quickly to her feet, she watched as Nick came bursting in. "What the hell are you doing?" she exclaimed. "Finding out what's happening to you," he charged. His dark eyes flashed. "What gives you the right to open the door, to even have a key anymore?" She held out her hand for him to return it to her, but he pocketed it instead. "It's been days, Dana. No one's known where you are. You think I don't worry about you?" "I was staying with Lucien." "In his house?"
