What??? I am still nervous about it. What did I do? What did I do last night? What did I say? -Hana. -Wait, -I interrupted him,- everyone else is sleeping. Let's go and talk somewhere else. We went to the bathroom. A nice and quiet place. -Hana, I didn't know that you... - Wait, wait, wait!- I interrupted him, - can you tell me everything from the beginning, please? You know I don't remember anything. - Everyone was dancing. Including you. You were dancing with Greta for a while but then she left after she found out that Josh was there, too. The others were dancing with each other, I guess. I didn't remember what they were dancing with. - Ahah,- I said confusingly. I could not wait for the moment he would tell me what I did. -Go on! - I said. -Since you were alone you went to the drink counter and you didn't seem you were enjoying the party. You told the barman to have an alcoholic drink. You git a vodka. Of course, you got it but it wasn't the only one. You were drinking uncontrollably. - You are telling me everything in detail, how do you know all these? - I was observing you, Hana. You remember the last time you got drunk, don't you? I thought you wouldn't drink anymore but there you were, drinking again. -Where were you though? Before I drank I saw you with a skinny blonde girl. Who was she? That question "Who was she?" sounded like I was asking him as I were his girlfriend. I looked kinda jealous in his eyes even though I truly were. -Oh yeah. I was with Ina, my cousin. Ina is my aunt's daughter. I run her into and I had a short conversation with her. And then you came acting strangely, you came and said that I was a cheater. And you kept repeating this. You called me a cheater and then you couldn't stop laughing. I didn't understand. I still don't. What did you mean with that, Hana? What did I call him? Did I just call him a " cheater "? -I don't think I have called you so. -What did you say to me then?-he asked me with a serious face expression. I needed a reasonable answer. Right now! I needed help! HELP! I turned my head to the left and I saw the shirt that Jon wore last night near the washing machine. My light lamp turned on. My justification was already ready. -Oh,- I said hilariously,- I know remember. Actually, I didn't remember anything yet. I was lying. -You were dressing that shirt last, weren't you? I showed him the shirt with the patterns of a cheetah. -Yes,- he answered and he was waiting to hear the truth. -Well, since I was laughing, I haven't told you anything serious for sure. I called you a cheetah, not a cheater. You have misunderstood what I said. Cheetah and cheater are homophones and the sound the same. -So, you called me a cheetah then? Right?-he said,- I will never understand your British English. Look what you made me doubt. I truly thought you called me a cheater and that made me think for hours. - I am not your girlfriend to call you a teacher, are I? -Yes. -What? - I am joking Hana, -he said laughing. -Hahahaha. Jon, did I do anything else that might have been inappropriate? - No, you didn't. I took care of you. Oh, he is so sweet. I still couldn't believe what I did. -Jon, I am sorry for my behaviour in the presence of your cousin. Can you tell her I am really sorry? -Don't worry! I will. Case dismissed. I hope I haven't told Jon anything else about my feelings for him and I hope he doesn't hide anything else from me. Then Jon left the bathroom and I did my morning routine. The time was 7:15 a.m. and we needed to go to school. Today was the day that we didn't wait for each other to go to school. We were at Jon's house and he cooked for us. He is a great cook. He prepared delicious some chocolate souffle for us. It was the most delicious meal I have ever tried. -Hey man. What is that?- Kris told Jon. -What don't you like it? -No. This is the most delicious meal I have ever eaten in my life. We all agreed on that. -Well, that is your hidden talent, Jon. You are a great cook, -I told him. -I thought you were good only at football dude!- Kristal commented. He thanked us. After we had breakfast we left and went to school. Today was a day of a cheerleader. It means it was my day. After the three classes, the match will be at 11:30 a.m. Today was the second performance of me as a cheerleader. It wasn't a debut! I could find the dressing room on my own. And everything was okay. The first part of the match seemed okay, until after the break, in the second part Jon got injured. Badly injured. He injured his knee. He was bad. The school called the ambulance and they transported him to the hospital. I went in the ambulance with him. The others came after us to the hospital. Jon went to the emergency. After the doctor checked him, he said that he needed surgery. Jon's health condition was more serious than we all thought. He needed to do it as soon as it was possible. Then the other " Strong Ties " came. We were all waiting for Jon. We were sad and worried about him. Then Albi reminded us to call his parents. He called them and they were worried, too. Of course, they would be. Their son was a surgery. They were quite and waiting for him like all of us. The seconds looked like minutes, the minutes looked like hours. I don't remember how long we were all waiting until the door of the surgery room opened. The doctor got out and asked: -Who are the relatives of Jon Toli? -I am his mother,-Jon's mother said with a worried facial expression. -I am his father,-Jon's father said approaching the doctor. We all approached to hear what the doctor would say. I was next to his parents. -The surgery went well but his knee injury is serious. -What does it mean?-I asked the doctor worried. - He has a patellar fracture and his pain is in the 3rd grade. He will have considerable pain and tenderness at the inside of the knee, some swelling and marked joint instability. -Will he be able to play football after that?- Beku asked. -I am afraid he won't. We are moving him to a normal room after putting him in a cast and he will keep it until the bone heals. Then he left. We were kinda shocked by that news. Jon's future was destroyed. His dream has always been to be a successful footballer but a single f****d up knee injury destroyed his future and himself. After one hour We all waited for him to wake up. He woke up and the nurse allowed his parents to go first. I couldn't wait to see him. They went inside. He started screaming. After their parents saw him, they got out and told us that they didn't want to meet anyone. He was frustrated and desperate. Of course, he would be. Football was his strongest point and now it is not anymore. We could not see him because he didn't allow anyone. The time was 4:30 p.m and we decided to leave and give him some time to think clearly and to calm down. I left with them but thinking about Jon. I arrived at my house since I haven't been there for more than 24 hours. One whole day. My parents were worried. I told them all what happened and then I said them to go to see Jon. They allowed me. My dad brought me to the hospital. I entered the hospital and went straight to Jon's room. His parents were not there, they might have been in the hospital café. I went inside and he was sleeping so I sit in an armchair and I was just watching him. I was monitoring his eyebrows, his nose, his lips, his cheeks, his eyelashes. I couldn't see his eyes because he was asleep. "If I were time, I would stop and watch you sleep." ~ Kristina Fanning
