Cal darted through the shrubs and trees, following the hooded figure. He was fast, but Cal was easily gaining on him. By the scent he left behind, it definitely wasn’t Samael. It smelled like a demon.    He could hear laughter all around him. Some sounded like children, others like crazed older voices. Some, too disturbing to describe. “Get the alpha boy!”    Another screamed “Come and find us little alpha. We’re waiting for you!”    That familiar, accented voice crawled into his head again, “Cal, turn around. Don’t do this, it’s precisely what he wants.”   “He threatened Kai!”   “He’ll do more than that if these demons get hold of you.”   The voices sounded all around him.
