“We need to find out who did this,” Kai said, pacing her kitchen. She had Ace and Loraina’s fingers racing on their keyboards.
Once they extinguished the fire, and made sure it was safe to go, they excused their guests. Cal enlisted his father and Brady to help with pulling John’s body from the fire. Kai tried to go to watch them pull his body out, but Cal had to shield her cries before she bent over, releasing the contents of her stomach.
Once he got her home, she cleaned herself up and straightened herself out.
