Darrin was readying himself to leave the cemetery with a dandelion in his hand that he plucked from the ground in front of him. He sat, with his legs crossed, in front of Charlotte’s plot for one final time.    His phone beeped at the reminder he set. Not that he would forget this, but he didn’t want to lose track of time.   “You were always proud of your children, Char, but today you would be so proud of Kaiya.” He smiled to himself. “So much like you,” he breathed out. “She’s becoming the Alpha today. Cal’s inducting her, along with an entire string of other ceremonial things.”   He looked back at the headstone, ‘Always in our hearts’ it read. He thought it funny they held a burial, considering her body was gone. She left nothing behind but her memory. He wasn’t invited, of course,
