“Darrin, I brought you some tea,” Rose carried a tray with a tea pot and tea cup into his office. Cal had moved out of his father’s office after the house finished. Lately, Darrin had occupied the empty space for hours out of the day. Rose set the tray down on his desk and watched him stare at his computer screen.   “Thank you, Rose,” he said emotionless.   She shook her head, “you know what? Thank you.”   Darrin flinched and his eyes shot up to Rose with her arms crossed over her chest. “Sorry?”   “I’m done, Darrin. My son has become the Alpha, he lives with his mate in their own home. I am no longer the Luna. I think it’s time for me to live my life.”   “Wait, you’re going? Where?” he stood up from his seat. The look in her eyes suggested he was better off not getting too close
