Neo When Neo got back to the garage, Simon was waiting for him. He was sitting on the steps leading up to Neo's room. “Where you been, son?" Simon asked. Neo hated it when he called him son. He wasn't his father. He didn't have one. Simon just called him 'son' so he'd seem more caring. Neo knew Simon didn't care for anyone but himself. Neo hung his helmet on a peg by the stairs then looked Simon blankly in the eye. “I went for a ride. What's it to you?" Simon stood up slowly, working his jaw in aggravation. He walked over to Neo and put a hand on his shoulder. “You've been with me...what? Six years?" Simon said, “And your attitude ain't a bit better." He smirked. “In fact, I'd say it's gotten worse." Simon tightened his grip on Neo's shoulder, but Neo coolly pushed his hand off.
