Chapter 49: It’s been three long days since Chase had left on pack business and the longer she was gone the more on edge I felt. I couldn’t seem to relax and the stress was overwhelming me. I jumped at every little sound and tended to whimper when I heard door’s opening but it wasn’t Chase no matter how much I wanted it to be. Jared tried to soothe me but it wasn’t working. I was a down right mess. At school I had the students writing an essay on what they have learned so far. It’s not that I didn’t have new stuff to teach, it's because I couldn’t focus enough to give a lecture and make sure the students were understanding what I was teaching, I was too on edge to even try honestly.
