Celestial Twins

A long time ago, there were two individuals that were born at the same time, not even a millisecond apart. That may not be that much of a coincidence, but, what if I tell you that the both of them had eaten at the same time? Taken a bath at the same time? started to study at the same time? Not enough? Well, what if they also married at the same time? Still no? What if I tell you that they've done everything at the same time? They even died at the same time. Kind of weird isn't it? But what if I tell you one more thing... the two of them, were born from two totally different realms, two people born from two different worlds. Yes, this is a story, about two people who died at the same time, and were reborn at the same time as well. But you know what's funny this time? Well, they were born in the same body! Two wills within a single body. One was a person named Argus, a magician from the world Sendivil. The other one was named Asura, an assassin from the world Arcius. One a sword and magic world, while the other is a world with nothing but chaos and strife, using their internal strength for survival. Now though, the two of them were reborn, in this world called Heavenly Blue Star. Ha! Let's start the story, shall we? Year 824, 4th month, Water Dragon Calendar. In the middle of the night at Firefly Valley, Lotus City, Xu Clan. "Uwaaaaaaaaa!" At the outer court of the Xu Clan, where the branch members of the Xu Clan reside, a cry was heard, a newborn baby was brought out to the world. "Congratulations, it's a boy!" The midwife smiled brightly as she handed the boy to the mother. The mother smiled, but clear distress can be seen from her eyes. She couldn't help but utter silently: "W-why couldn't you had been born a girl... my poor child." She's still in her mid-twenties, but she looked extra old due to her unkept dress and skin. As she spoke, tears slowly gathered in her eyes till it rained down her cheeks and dropped to the baby's body. Seeing this, the midwife sighed, she patted the back of the mother: "It's okay, don't worry." "Elder Bingyun, don't worry, the Patriarch won't treat you badly." The midwife comforted. Pausing for a bit, she added: "You've birthed a male, the clan's successor, you're already set." Although she had said that, she knew what Bingyun is worried about. Bingyun couldn't help but be saddened further, she held the baby in her embrace as she uttered: "I... I will protect him no matter what." As she spoke, she looked at the baby in her embrace that's looking back at her, the expression of sadness on her face was then replaced by happiness as she spoke: "I will call you Baili, Xu Baili." She lifted her baby up with a wry smile on her face: "From now on, you will be Xu Baili, untainted by anything, to walk your own path." And just as she finished speaking, the door opened and three ladies entered the room. Seeing them, the midwife immediately trembled, she stepped back a few times and bowed deeply till her head reached the floor: "Matriarch!" Bingyun although has a weak body still sat up and bowed: "Matriarch!" The matriarch, her name is Hu Daiyu, she's from the prestigious Hu Clan from the other side of the valley, the Star Jade City, it's also one of the great clans there. Hu Daiyu was ranked the most beautiful lady in Star Jade City, because of that, she had hundreds of suitors. But at the end of it all, she still picked the richest, most powerful young master available, Xu Tianxin, the now patriarch of the Xu Clan of the Lotus City. In terms of standing, the commoners view the Xu Clan and the Hu Clan as both of equal clans, but for cultivators, although both of them are 7th ranked clans, the Xu Clan is more than three times stronger than the Hu Clan in terms of both wealth and power. Xu Tianxin, the number one expert of the Lotus City, a two-star spirit elementary expert. Nobody, not even the patriarch of the Hu Clan is his match. But Daiyu actually didn't give birth to a male, she only birthed three beautiful daughters, this caused Xu Tianxin to look at other ladies, and out of the three new ladies he found, one of them is Bingyun, an outer elder of the Xu Clan. The lady's eyes twitched as soon as she saw the baby: "Baili? A good name." She spoke in a cold tone, clearly, she's not that much happy at the very least. Bingyun's body trembled slightly but tried her best to not show it. The lady slowly approached, her heels ringing on the tile floor. She stretched her hands towards the baby till it reached the baby's body, slowly, the hand crept up towards the baby's neck. Bingyun felt frightened, but she was prepared to do whatever she can to protect her child. The lady smirked, but clear disdain can be seen etched on her face: "What a cute child, but when they grow, they will be strong enough to actually kill a beast." "Who knew he was but such a fragile little thing." Then, as she spoke, her eyes flashed with killing intent, Bingyun immediately prepared to fight. But when the two were about to clash, they immediately heard footsteps. The two of them immediately halts everything and looked at the door. "Patriarch!" The midwife immediately saluted together with the two servants of Daiyu as well as Bingyun. Only Daiyu called out differently: "Husband." She called out with a smile, all of her previous expressions vanished like it was all but an illusion. Xu Tianxin smiled at her: "What are you doing here? It's already the middle of the night, you'll get cold." Daiyu chuckled: "Husband, I'm still an 8-star silver rank expert, how would I even get a cold that easily." As she finished speaking, she shifts her gaze to the baby: "I am only here because I heard the baby's cry, I want to embrace it myself." Xu Tianxin smiled: "Ah, you're truly a great mother and wife." "Fufufu, you're flattering me too much." Daiyu chuckled like she's embarrassed, she then reached out towards Bingyun: "Sister Bingyun, may I?" Bingyun wanted to reject, but Tianxin is present, she could only dejectedly accept. But as Daiyu touched the baby's back, the baby immediately reacted: "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It cried so loud, that one would've mistaken it for a two-year-old baby throwing a massive tantrum. Daiyu was shocked and retracted her hand, and only then did the child stopped crying: "This..." She felt rather speechless. Bingyun and Tianxin as well as the others didn't know what happened. Tianxin then chuckled and broke the awkward silence: "Maybe it just wants to stay with its mother for a while." Daiyu chuckled to hide his embarrassment, but this time, the shame is real, she nodded her head and took a few steps back. Tianxin smiled, he then approached the child and looked at Bingyun: "Yun'er, may I?" Bingyun felt hesitant for a bit before she nodded her head. As she handed Baili, Tianxin took the baby with great care, like a person afraid of breaking a really expensive porcelain plate. This time, the baby didn't cry, merely looked at Tianxin before closing his eyes again. Tianxin smiled, he heaved a massive sigh like some sort of trouble had been removed from his shoulder, he then thought: 'I guess he can recognize his family.' A warm smile was expressed on his face as he embraced the child gently. Daiyu felt annoyed, hatred can be seen from her eyes as her anger soar: 'I need to make a heir as well, no matter how many tries!' Meanwhile, the baby. As soon as he was born, he cried, because his head was almost crushed when he was about to be released, but immediately shut its mouth because something is happening. 'I... I was reborn?'  The voice echoed, but for some reason, there are two tones within its mind. 'Wait, is there someone here with me?' It thought, and yeah, there's some sort of different voice inside its head. Actually, two voices. The baby pondered for a bit before finally thinking of something: 'I will think, you shut up.' But as one thought that, the other did the same. He was stuck in a predicament, but then, the both of them thought something again: 'I was named Argus/Asura.' Immediately, the two of them were quite shocked.'I am Asura/Argus, let me talk first.' ".........................." 'Uhhh... you go first Argus/Asura...' 'f**k!' Both of them cursed loudly inside their head, the two of them think so much alike that they couldn't hold a proper conversation! Now, how will they overcome this simple yet hard trial?
