Love and Heartbreaks

Lilly's POV:

I cannot believe i've been away from home for two whole weeks. I miss everyone so much, I've only been away from home for this long once and it was in my dark times, I willingly went away to heal but it didn't help one bit. Nothing helps i guess.

Since Elena left, the rooms were separated into individual rooms. So I didn't see much of Emily these few days, she's always hanging out with Mel and the others girls or the prince. She usually invites me but i turn all her offers down.

I sat in the library reading my second book of the day when i heard the door open, I waited for it to be the prince but i saw his sister smiling ear to ear walking towards me, which wasn't such a surprise since knew that i would be here.

"Hello" i said watching her carefully, since our last outing we have been awkward around each other.

"Hey, i come in peace" she said with a goofy smile. "Can i sit?" She asked.

"Technically it's your house so you can do what ever you want" i said shrugging

She sat down beside me and sighed loudly "oh Lilly i am so sorry about the last time, i really shouldn't have interfered. I know that now and i am sorry" she pouted adorably.

I smiled "All is forgiven. We will he fine if you promise never to lie to me again" i laid out my terms.

"Promise."

“Good, what are you up to?” I asked.

“Well, in the spirit of out new found truthful relationship, i have to tell you something” she said with a serious expression.

“Go on..” i urged.

“I have a date and i was hoping you would come shopping for an outfit with me” she said, smiling sheepishly.

“I appreciate your candor but are you sure you want to go shopping with me? I mean anybody else would be better help than me, literally anything!” I admit it i was exaggerating a bit but it was true nonetheless.

“I don’t really need fashion advise, i just need a second pair of eyes. Plus i have never really had a girl friend to go shopping with.” She pled with me.

"I hardly count as a real girl friend since i'm not a big fan of shopping but if you promise to throw in a big lunch then i'm in" i smiled

"Deal!" She squealed

We got to the mall after twenty minutes and went into shoe shop first. Let me tell you this, this girl can shop and this is just the first shop we have been to. After a lot to f pestering from Anna i got two pairs of shoes while she got seven.

Our second stop was a designer dress shop and sat down. We browsed through the latest designs trying to find the perfect on for a date

"Can I tell you a secret?" Anna turned to me .

"Errm sure" i said

“If Alex and Luke ever found out about this date they would kill me and the number one reason i came to you is because i know you would do anything to spite my brother” she finished scratching the back of her neck nervously.

"Oh I feel so used" i said dramatically. "So spill who is the guy and why do you need to keep it from your brothers"

"Well, his name is Jason and he has been best friends with Luke since forever" she said blushing, it was cute.

"And Luke doesn't know?" I think i can understand why she needed to hide it from Luke but not Alex.

"No he can't ever know. Alex too. they would kill Jason and lock me up" she said exaggerating the whole situation

"Oh come on! They have no right stopping you from dating who you want and it will come out eventually" i tried to reason with her.

"Yes, I know it will and they will hear it from me but not now when the time is right. Please just help me" she pleaded.

"Fine! I'll help besides, you are right; I love annoying your brother and this might be the best so far" i said with a giggle.

We kept picking out dresses for her to try out, she bugged me a ton about getting some for myself to, i told her i had no need for them but she kept insisting. We ended up buying four dresses for Anna and two for myself. We sent all the shopping bags to the car and made our way to the food court and ordered large meals for ourselves, God knows we need it after the hassle we went through.

We were back to business. After a few jewelry store we went into a Victoria secret shop. The sales ladies bombarded use with different products.

"We have to find you something that would drive my brother nuts" she giggles searching through lace underwear.

I gasped dramatically " first of all i have enough of those and we are here for you. Secondly you 'brother' is NEVER going to see me in any of those, not in his wildest dreams. In fact not even in a nightmare"

"Common you cannot tell me that you still have no feelings for him" she said going into the dressing room.

"I don't" I answered bitterly and truthfully.

"Fo you have a boyfriend back home? Is that it? Because i just don’t understand you Lilliana Marie" She poked her head out looking at me

"No" I said flatly

"Then why won't you give him a chance? He really is an amazing person once you get to know him" she debated on his behalf. I get why she keeps pushing him in my face, i really do. I would do the same for my brother but it is just not going to happen.

"I don't want to talk about this please" i sighed feeling defeated.

Finally settling for the peach knee length dress by Karl Lagerfeld and purple louboutin pumps we got from the mall, Anna started getting ready for her date.

"I know this sounds silly but I think i have loved Jason since before i knew what love was but i was just too afraid of what Luke and Alex might say" she said twirling around the room

I felt this feeling of sadness consume me, i was happy for her but i was sad. " I hope it lasts forever" I said smiling sadly at her

"I pray you find love Lilly. I pray you get to feel the way I'm feel when i am with Jason and i hope it lasts an eternity. If you happen to find it with my brother then that is a bonus" she beamed exuberantly.

I cleared my throat "you should hurry along and get ready now, you wouldn't want to keep your knight in shinning amor waiting, would you?"

We went to work, doing her hair and makeup for a full hour. While joking around and dancing when we hard a knock on the door. We stopped immediately and looked at each other. She quickly put on a silk bath robe to cover up.

"He's early isn't he?" I asked as I walk to the door.

I unlocked the door just to reveal two angry princes.

Alex noticed me and his brows furrowed immediately and pointed his index finger at me” why am i not surprised to see you here? I should have known you were involved in this. You just can't stay away from trouble can you?" He turned to Anna " how can you be stupid enough to let her convince you to do this or better yet think we wouldn't find out?"

"Oh but they were not thinking at all. I heard about how rebellious you are but this is overstepping your boundaries!" Luke gritted through his teeth moving towards me. I moved back and looked at Anna who was now crying.

“It isn’t her fault. She didn’t convince me to do anything i swear” she said in between sobs.

“I don’t buy that for a second! Is this pay back keeping you here?” Alex arrogantly asked me.

I could stand all the accusations thrown at me but I couldn't stand the fact that they were hurting their sister.

"Enough!" I spat at both of them. “You think that if i wanted retribution for making me stay here i wouldn’t have found a more creative way to get back at you?!” I scoffed at Alex in particular.

"You can say whatever you want about me, that is your business. But don't jump to conclusion about your sister! Just hear her out" I finished softly.

We all turned to her, she wiped her face "I love him and he loves me too. He has changed and you all must have noticed it" she said to her brothers

"No!" Luke said defiantly

"It will never happen. You will NOT go out with that boy" Alex said in kingly and authoritative voice.

"Why not? What has he done that is so bad?" She asked sobbing softly

"He is a God damned player that is why! He will rip your heart to shreds and if you don’t know that then you must be truly stupid" Alex said bluntly causing her to release a loud sob.

"You are such a hypocrite you know!" I moved forward and jabbed my finger into Alex's chest. He was taken aback by my response.

"Excuse me?" He gritted angrily it almost scared me but didn't stop me.

"Yes you! You have eight girls at your disposal. Each night you take a different girl out and flirt with whomever you want. Your goal is to make them all fall in love with with you but you only choose one at the end of it all." I looked at him in his eyes and continued "then let me ask you this. What happens to the seven other girls that fall in love with you? Will you not rip there own hearts to shreds? Or just because they aren't your sister that makes it alright? Where is Elena now? Isn’t she someone else’s sister?"

"Don't you dare compare my situation with this! What I'm doing is a part of my duty and Anna’s situation isn't!" He spat back.

"What about you?" I turned to Luke then back to Alex "you both have had quite a reputation" i moved to Luke "what happens when some innocent girl falls deep in love with you before your choosing? Huh? You send her packing because she doesn't have a high and powerful brother right?" I asked.

“You think other people do not matter. Just because you will not be there to pick up their broken pieces like you would for your sister doesn’t mean that those piece won’t very much be broken” i did not even realizing tears were streaming down my face.

I turned to find Alex staring at me with so much emotions in his eyes. I wiped my tears and clear my throat "I guess what I'm trying to say is you have to let her follow her heart. She thinks she is in love with him then let her find out for sure. You cannot control her heart and heartbreak and that only makes you human" i said staring at the floor wiping more of my tears with my sleeves.

I looked up and saw all there expressions have softened. "Fine! But if he steps out of line i will hang him" Alex said and i turned to Luke giving him a questioning look. "Fine!" He said "but I will have a talk with him" he demanded.

Anna squealed and jumped with joy. I smiled sadly at them all "thank you. That is all I ask for" i said turning on my heels and left the room.

That night I returned to my empty room and cried my heart out for the one person I truly missed until the darkness of sleep consumed me.
