What had just occurred at that time? You are who you are. And why did you bring up Mary's name so frequently? The moment they climbed into their car, Annabelle snarled at him.
Mason's expression darkened as he looked at her. "You have no right to act like my bride."
Though confused, Annabelle couldn't help but laugh sarcastically at his comment. That's it; I believe I've had enough of this joke for now! Give Mr. Anthony a call right away; I'd like to talk to him and find out what's going on.”
"Are you nuts?" Mason asked her, his brow furrowed. Mr. Anthony, who the hell is he? I run my own business.
Once more laughing at him, Annabelle removed the hairpin from her hair and gestured to Mason as though threatening to make a quick phone call to his boss, saying, "Call him now or I make you do it forcefully, Mr...." Annabelle says, pointing at him to pick up the phone. "I have had enough, so you better get your act together and do as I say."
"Mr. Mason," he said, pulling away from her with a terrified expression. "I already told you that I am my boss."
"I couldn't care less about your identity! How come he sent such an i***t as a representative? says Annabelle.
"Representative? Do you take any drugs? You have a severe case of mental illness. Mason yells, "You better get out of my car before I kick you out myself."
Annabelle balled her fists and clenched her jaw. Although she isn't usually this irritable, certain things about Mason are already making her blood boil.
"Are you serious? If so, where is Mr. Anthony?" Annabelle looks surprised and asks. "I can't talk to you here all day long!"
Mason asked, "Are you not supposed to call your husband or this Mr. Anthony that you keep mentioning?" And take the pin off my face. You're crazy."
"What am I?" Annabelle rolled her eyes and said sarcastically. "You must be lame."
Mason's mouth fell open, clearly offended. "Silly? Mason remarks, "Your kiss back in there was lame."
With a furious expression on her face, Annabelle turned to face Mason and folded her arms, preparing to strike.
"You are such a crazy guy!" When her phone rang, Annabelle said angrily that she was going to punch him in the face.
With a sigh of relief, Annabelle said, "Your boss is calling me," glaring at Mason, who was sitting next to her, as she took the call.
"Hello?" The call was taken by Annabelle.
"Where are you in this world? My envoy has been anticipating your arrival for nearly two hours. Are you certain that you still wish to preserve your father's business?" Screaming from the other end of the call, Mr. Anthony says.
With a slow gaze, Annabelle looked at the Mason next to her, her lips parting. He was calling people on his phone all the time, furrowed brow to furrowed mouth.
"W-What?" With a hard swallow, Annabelle asked, sounding as though she hadn't heard him correctly.
"Don't claim you're lost, please? My secretary sent you a new address; did you not receive it? "Annabelle, the location is on the southern side of the street," Mr Anthony angrily yelled into the phone.
When Annabelle wound down her window and looked outside to verify the address, she saw that it was incorrect. She lets out a sigh and shakes her head in shock. She is having one of her worst days ever. In the eastern section, there is another wedding.
Annabelle felt ashamed and guilty and lost her strength, making it impossible for her to look at Mason. Her lips and hands were shaking when she dropped her phone on the car's floor.
What have I done, exactly? Says she.
Mason asks, "What's wrong, Mrs.? What's the problem?"
Annabelle took a deep breath. She enquired, "Is this the East part?"
Mason asked, looking at her bewildered, "Yes, any problem?"
As tears streamed down her cheeks, Annabelle cupped her mouth. "Oh my God! Were I married to the wrong man? She utters out loud.
Mason clenched his jaws and gripped her hands as he furrowed his brows at her. "What are you talking about? Are you claiming that you attended the incorrect wedding? Did no one send you a message? Did you not conceal my bride?
Annabelle shook her head and used the backs of her hands to wipe away her tears. All she could say was, "I need to leave—."
Annabelle appeared bewildered and speechless. She is about to cause major problems for her father's business and her world is about to fall apart. What will she do at this point?
"Wait!" Manson stopped her from leaving by holding her arm.
Annabelle says, "I have to go marry my real husband."
Mason gave a headshake. "No, f**k that! I recently got married to you. Can someone catch you getting married to someone else? Woman, you will destroy my reputation.
Annabelle gave him a disbelieving glance. Are you joking with me? I have to get on with this. Furthermore, we haven't yet signed any official documentation.
"But we both said the vow and pronounced husband and wife," sighed Mason. Still! You cannot simply walk away after destroying my wedding.
Annabelle cut him off abruptly, saying, "Mister, I did not ruin your wedding. Given that you discovered I'm not your true bride, you shouldn't have carried on with the wedding in the first place.
Mason tightened his jaw and averted his gaze. "I-I did that to keep myself from looking foolish."
"What embarrassment do you mean? Now, isn't this even more embarrassing? says Annabelle.
"Look!" Mason's blue eyes fixed on Annabelle with such intensity that he let go of her arm and gritted his teeth. "My actual wife absconded our wedding. I'm not sure if it's true or if she was kidn*pped. You have to temporarily serve as my bride while I look for her.
"What?" Annabelle gave a quick head shake. "No! No, I am unable to! I have to leave right now to wed my intended spouse. Here, mister, you're not the only one in need. I'm going to lose my father's business soon. I cannot allow it to occur.
"I'll assist you," Mason says.
Startled, Annabelle exclaimed, "Help me? In what way will you assist me? Are you well off? Are you in the millionaire group? Annabelle asked incessantly.
Mason chuckled inexplicably and said, "Haha, are you kidding me now? Do I possess millions? He grinned. "Look I am the CEO of my company, a billionaire and Forbes under 30 billionaire."
Looking at the wedding, Annabelle thought to herself that it wasn't all that fancy. Yes, the setting is fascinating and the decorations are lovely, but it doesn’t look like a rich man’s wedding. He doesn’t even have many visitors.
Annabelle gave a mocking laugh. "Avoid making me chuckle."
"What amount is necessary?" Her laughter was cut off by Mason, who made her silent with his serious tone and dark eyes.
Gazing back at him, Annabelle considered if he was bluffing.
"Twenty million dollars," she blurted out without pausing to consider.
It was unclear to her why she appeared to be accepting that he could assist her, but she decided to give it a shot. If he could assist her in return for her helping him, having him as her husband would be preferable to having that depraved old man.
"Twenty million?" he muttered, causing his forehead to furrow once more. "I'll make $25,000,000, but how will I know you're telling the truth about yourself?"
When Annabelle heard that she had won $25 million, she was shocked, but she tried not to show it by folding her arms.
Annabelle tries to open the door and says, "If you are not ready and do not have the things I want, then I should be on my way now—."
Hold on! I promise to assist you. All I have to do is verify your identity. Mason responds, "You can't blame me, woman."
Lifting her chin, Annabelle reached for her phone, pulling her ID out of her bag as he pulled his, and they simultaneously exchanged IDs.
When Annabelle turned to face the ID, her eyes widened in surprise and she looked up at Mason directly. Mason gave her a nod and a shoulder shrug as though to say, "Look, I told you, but you didn't listen."
Mary, meanwhile, was travelling to the southern portion of the wedding venue; she had not fled. The venue address was exchanged by Annabele's stepmother. She intends to sabotage the nuptials, making it challenging for Annabelle to preserve her father's business. This will help her fulfil her self-serving ambition.
Mary was all covered in her wedding gown, the veil covered her face as she and arrived at the venue where Mr Anthony's representative was waiting. They weren't prepared for what was about to happen.
