Chapter 1 _ Marriage visit
Olandria POV
“The elders of the Wellington family were here because of you,” my mother said, my gaze fixed on the Mr Pepe, the oldest member of the Wellington family.
He just stepped out of our house with my dad.
They whispered to themselves as they walked out of the living room, ignoring my presence.
My father, Antonio Lockwood was the board director of the Wellington group who held the biggest company in the country, and his wife my mother, was Clara Lockwood.
“Because of me?” I asked, my eyes widening in shock as I turned my gaze to him.
“Yes, dear. They're here to seek your hand in marriage for the next ceo.” My bag fell from my hand as I stared at my father in shock.
“What?” I muttered, staring at them in disbelief.
“Yes dear and I'm so excited about it. My daughter gets to marry into wealth. If you later have kids for his grandson, your kids will take over the company in the future” My mother squealed in excitement as she rose to her feet and walked to where I was sitting.
She took my hand in her and I instantly retracted them “No that can't happen. I will not get married to anyone” I said, my voice steady and firm.
“What do you mean by that?” My mother asked, her smile vanishing this air as her brows knitted together on her forehead.
“I can't marry his grandson mom. I don't know him so well. I'm just twenty-three and I have a dream I'm passionate about and getting married at twenty-three isn't one of those dreams" I said but my father who had just walked back in just glared at me
“Do you want to disgrace me? Do you want to bring shame to this family? What do you think people will say when they discover the daughter of the board director refused to marry Mr Pepe grandson” My father's voice roared in the living room as he frowned deeply.
“Honey, you aren't even getting married to him now, You're getting married to_”
“I don't care Mommy” I uttered harshly then turned my gaze to my father “I can't marry him, papa. I can't. I don't know who he is or what he looks like. I didn't even know mr Pepe had a grandson. Why do I have to marry him? Why me?” I asked, tears streaming down my face as I stared at my parents who were about to throw me to someone I barely knew.
I was just three months away from graduating from medical school and now all these. Did I go to college all these years to end up as someone's wife before graduation?
“You have to marry him because that is what has been agreed on. He is yet to find a wife but he is to get married to a virgin before becoming CEO and I don't need to tell you how you come in” my father said.
I gritted my teeth as I stared daggers at my dad. I was about to marry someone I barely knew because of them?
“Well I don't know how I come in,” I said rudely
“Then I will spell it clearly for you. You're a virgin and Mr Pepe required us to bring a Virgin from a reputable and trust worthy family like ours for their son and I suggested my daughter which is you and out of five other girls, you've been pickerd”
I instantly began to wish that I wasn't a virgin anymore. If I wasn't a Virgin like Janessa, my bestfriend then I wouldn't be forced to marry someone I didn't know
“Then what about my school? I'm almost done with college papa. I need to graduate and_”
“All those can wait Olandria. We have to start the wedding preparations soon. Mr Pepe would be coming again tomorrow to see you” my father said, cutting my words off and making more tears spill from my eyes.
“Tomorrow? To see me? No papa please I want to finish college. I don't want to get married now. I can't achieve my dreams if I get married now papa please, let me Pepe find someone else for his grandson.” I said, my knees on the floor as I begged earnestly
“I'm sorry dear but this is more important than school. We have to secure our future for our generation and this a the first step”Papa uttered, his gaze softening as he saw the tears in my eyes. He turned away and rose to his feet as he took the stairs.
“Would this have occurred if I wasn't a virgin?” I asked in curiosity.
“No dear but I'm grateful that you're till a virgin. This marriage will strengthen the relationship we've had with them and unite both families” he uttered dreamily, not sparing me a glance as he wore a broad and proud smile on his lips.
I've kept my virginity for the past twenty-three years and never in my wildest dream did I think that my parents would use it for their gain.
I regret why I didn't get laid earlier on. If I had s*x earlier on in my life then I won't be an arranged bride for some stranger. I wasn't going to let this happen. I had to do something about this.

“So what do you want to do now?” Janessa asked, her voice laced with sadness as we both fell silent on the phone “I think you should just obey your parents Olandria. Marry me Pepe grandson and live your best life, Olandria. You get to be the first lady of the Wellington family and respected by everyone”
“I can't believe you're saying this too Janessa. You know how much I've looked forward to graduating with first class Janessa. I studied hard to retain my position as the best medical student in college and now I'm about to graduate and achieve my dreams of being a dentist, my parents just want to give me out to an unknown grandson”
“Then what are you going to do Olandria Janessa asked, her voice low with sadness
“I'm going to do what I should have done a long time ago” I responded, my voice firm and steady
“Which is?” Janessa asked.
“I'm going to lose my virginity and prevent myself from getting married,” I said, and she gasped. “If they found out my dad lied about me being a virgin, they would certainly think we played them for a fool and end the marriage”
“Wouldn't that be bad for your family reputation?” Janessa asked in panic
“I don't care,” I snapped.
