Jane

As the bell rang, I stuck my airpods in my ear pulling out my favorite book :After by Anna Todd and began reading, I was so lost in my book I didn't realize our professor Mr. Williams came into class until Amy began nudging me on my shoulder and pointing to the person opposite me. I tilted my head and gave a slight wave and got back to my book, before I know it 1st period was over and everyone was heading out of class besides the person who sat opposite me. I pulled my airpods out my ear and turned to Amy "So did I miss anything interesting?" I asked as I packed up my stuff to get to 2nd period. Amy watched me with the biggest grin on her face and pointing behind me, I slowly turned around to see the most handsome figure behind me only his face looked like he ran into someone's fist and their fist won. " Hi, Can I help you?" I asked the disheveled boy sitting on the chair opposite me "Hey I'm Austin, the new transfer student" he held out his hand to me "So this is Mr. Mystery Boy everyone's going crazy over" I thought to myself as I shook his hand . " Hi" I responded to him again only to get jerked in my back by Amy as she whispered to me giggling "You already said that" Giving her a sly steer I turned back to Austin "So we better get to 2nd period, don't want to be late to class on your 1st day now do you" I commented as I made my way out of class with Amy holding onto my hand gleaming with excitement.

When we were finally out of sight Amy spun me around jumping excitedly "The new guy has the hots for you!!!" I don't know what was going through that crazy little head but haven't she realized no guy is ever gonna be interested in her as long as her brothers are at this school. "Amy I think your loosing it, he was just making conversation since he would be stuck sitting next to use for the next year" I responded " And even though I'm not interested, I need to focus on keeping my grades up if I ever want to get into Harvard Law, getting caught up in boy drama would only get in-between that" Ever since Colt started Law school i always wanted to follow in his footsteps , Mom and Dad were so proud of him, and i wanted to bring that same joy to their faces being the only daughter they have. I had my whole life planned out, I'd go to Law School, join a named firm, meet a descent guy, we'll get a nice house then we'll settle down and have kids of our own. ''Jane, Jane, earth to Jane" Amy waved her hands in-front of my face "sorry, you said something?" I watched her as she laughed and gripped on to my hand again. " So Jane any thoughts what you'll be doing for your SWEET SIXTEEN yet?" Amy asked as we entered our Math class. " I don't know something small I guess, can't risk inviting any guys or else Elliot and Chase are going to be having a brawl out and I highly doubt if I do invite any of the guys from class if they would even bother to show up just knowing they would be there." Amy watched me with a dismal look on her face, it never bothered me not being approached by guys to go on dates or to dance when we do attend any parties as I was focused on achieving my goals and my family knew that.
