Alastair. I knew something was wrong before I reached the back door. Tabitha's emotions shifted from anticipation, and adoration, into fear and panic in a split second. I quickly picked up my pace, and shifted through the screen frame and into the kitchen. Who or what took her was still in the house. I could still sence, and smell Tabitha's sent moving through the enormous victorian mention. Hugo roared through the halls, howling, teeth snarling. "NO ONE WILL TAKE. MY MATE. MY LUNA." I mind linked Beccut. "SOMEONE IS TRYING TO KIDNAP TABBY." "Oh, holy shit." Beccut's voiced rang through my head."Are you for f*****g real? Oh my GAWD!" "BECCUT, MIND LINK THE PACK!" Suddenly, Beccut's voice seemed to shake the walls of my mind. "SURROND THE PACK HOUSE. YOUR FUTURE LUNA HAS BEEN CAPTURED. NO ONE IN OR OUT, UNTIL TABBY IS SAFE." Almost instantly I could feel the rest of the pack surround the huge mansion. The chorus of hundreds of growling wolfs vibrated the walls. I sensed the panic of the perpetrator, as I caught up with him. In human form Mitchell searched for somewhere to escape, Tabitha was slipping in and out of consciousness in his grasp. I lowered my enormous would head, and approached cautiously growling and low to the floor. Mitchell met my eyes. "I guess we will need to find a new Beta, cousin." Beccut sighed while walking menisingly from the other side of the hall. "This one is clearly diffectctive." "Beta?" Mitch laughed. "I'm not a beta. I have alpha blood that's being wasted here." My growl grew louder as I grew closer to my distressed mate. "What ever your problem is, Mitchell, we will have to discuss it after you release our luna." Beccut stated carefully while nudging hus head in my direction. "You will want to put her down lightly." he added. Mitchell gently allowed Tabitha to slump on the floor. I darted to her side as Mitchell backed away with his hands in the air. "Well that was one dumb move, son." Tabithas father appeared from a room to Mitchell's right, her mother behind him in wolf form snarling. I shifted without any shame for my sudden nudity. "What did you do to her, Mitch?!" I half growled, as I nelt down beside my sleeping mate, and pulling her into my arms. "It was just wolf's bang, I wasn't going to hurt her. my plan was to take them both." The confusion from Amanda's statement this morning returned to me. "your pup is in danger" Instantly everything made sense. My pup. Our pup. I layed my hand on Tabitha's lower abdomen. "is it true?" I breathed, as Tabitha's eyes fluttered open. I noticed there was a change in the way she smelled, but I didn't connect the dots. I've been so busy with pack life that it never even registered. "Are we having a pup?" Tabitha grinned at me, tears of joy began to pull at the corners of her eyes. "I think- oww." panic and confusion flushed the joy from Tabitha's fave, and she sat up straight from her position on the floor. Between he legs a pull of blood began to pull. It was as if my blood turned to ice. "Oh, no." Tabitha sobbed quietly. "No. No. No." Tabitha's whole body trembled with her sobs. Anger replaced the ice in my vains, and my murderous eyes found Mitchell from across the room. "You son of a bitch." I roared as I tore off after him. "what did you do?!" Mitchell turned to run from me, but he was met by Beccut in the door way who just shook his head. Mitchell turned to dart through the next room, but standing in his way was Tabitha's father. "Not today, you little shit." I growled as I finally reached him. I grabbed him claws out by the back of the neck and swung him into the floor. "I didn't mean to, honestly. I was suppose to bring them both alive!" Mitchell shouted as he threw his hands in front of his face protectively. "I'm sorry! I a truly sorry!" Mitchell started to plead. Beccut pounced, and Mitchell's head hit the floor with a loud "CRACK". "BECCUT, wait." I snapped. Beccuts head whipped around. "What?!" Beccut snapped back, turning to face me. "He tried to take Tabby, he hurt your pup!" Beccut flipped his hand in Tabitha's direction. He mother was helping her t "He has information that we need" I explained as Tabitha made her way towards me. Tears stained her face, a trail of blood be "Beccut, Alastair is right." Gary sighed as Tabitha fell into my arms. "Take him to a holding cell downstairs. We are going to the pack hospital." I demanded solemnly. Tabitha buried her face into my neck, her body shuttered with quite sobs. I pulled her off of her feet into my arms, and ran from the pack house towards the small hospital at the edge of the village. It might have been more like twenty minutes, but the two mile run felt like it took hours. the entire time I was feeling Tabitha's pain. It was a sharpt stabbing sensation, that started at her core and s**t like electricity into her feet. The whole run it felt as if I were running through a tunnel. "HELP!" I called out as we entered the double glass door. "We need help now!" Tabitha's hand reached my face and I finally looked down at my small pale mate. Her face was wet with tears, and her eyes red and puffy from crying. Behind us through the glass doors of the hospital ,the sun was beginning to set, and I realized how hungry we both were. "Don't worry about me. I'll be okay." Tabitha breathed. "I do nothing but worry about you, my love. you are everything." I said as my eyes began to tear up. A small smile escaped her melancholy expression. "I will be okay, Alastair." Tabitha reassured sternly. Nurses rushed out from the huge heavy doors on the far side of the hospital lobby. They were rolling a gurney towards us. "Beta Alastair, please set her down here." The doctor demanded, as he began readying wires. "Go get us some food." Tabitha whispered as I set her bleeding body onto the gurney. I stood there motionless and covered in her blood as she was wheeled away. "The baby may be alright, you know." A voice said from behind me. I turned to find Tabitha's mom, a concerned look upon her face. "It was so much blood." I whispered in her direction. "The female body is a miraculous thing." She explained. "When I was pregnant with Tabitha, I bled for a full month." "So... I might still be a daddy?" My voice broke as the words left my mouth. "Oh, Hugo." She sighed. "I am fully confident, and 100% convinced that you will father all of my grand puppies."
