An unopened box of pregnancy tests sat on the round coffee table in front of me. I wasn't going to open it until Alastair got here.

"Here" is my breakfast nook, and my favorite place in the pack house. The breakfast nook was a round little room with bay windows, right off the butler's pantry. I always loved the quality, and beautiful archetypes of old houses. maybe it's because of our pack house, and the warm childhood memories I have made here. Or maybe I should have been born, during the Queen Elizabeth Victorian era.

What ever the reason. This was where I felt most safe. This is where I told Hugo my secrets, and confided in Beccut my dreams of being a Luna. I just love that room. It made perfect sense to confront Alaister here. Alastair and Hugo are one of the same after all. I do have to admit, after so long... Years of talking to him here, it still just seemed right.

I sipped my Lavander tea, and watched the drama unfolding on the far side of the garden from my window. I had already peed in two disposable plastic cups, and I had them sitting by the still unopened box of pregnancy tests before me. yeah. I know it's kinda gross. shut up. that's how those things work.

Pee.

I crossed my legs a little tighter and shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

Do I really have to pee again?

I sighed to myself, and put my tea on a small side table. Then promptly moved towards the bathroom within the butler's pantry.

As I pulled my panties down the smell of HCG (pregnancy hormone) filled the bathroom. As a wolf I really didn't need to take the pregnancy tests. We can sniff out body changes pretty easily. Still it is better safe than sorry. Especially since I don't know what pregnancy actually smells like on me. All scents are different. especially with wolf folk.

I knew a girl once who slept with three guys in one night. Her smell changed dramatically, and she thought she was pregnant. When she went to the doctor, she found out she has contracted the clap. It wouldn't have been so bad, if she hadn't already told all three men (and half the pack) she was pregnant. Imagine her disappointment, and embarrassment. Having to call everyone up and say; "Ohhh, hey. I'm not pregnant, just a slut. Oh, and get tested. SOMEONE gave me chlamydia."

YIKES.

I washed my hands, and sat back down between my tea and my pee, adding a third cup of urine to my collection.

That box is taunting me....

I gotta open it. I gotta- nope. Waiting. I'm waiting for my mate.

My mate. My Alaister. Who.. currently seemed to be getting into a heated conversation with his cousin.... he's gonna take Forever.

I'm opening it.

okay, step one remove cover.

step too, the pee.

step three, dip the end of the test into the pee, keeping stick as up and down as possible.

Step three, cover back on, and face up on flat surface.

step four, two lines positive, one line negative.

I watch, closer than I'd like to admit, as my pee bled across the test strip, in pink ink streaks.

one line. for negative.

Two lines. For positive

The pink control line showed up first, and then it felt like forever for the strip to become fully saturated. It did though. and when it did, another line began to appear. It was probably under a minute, they are supposed to work within three minutes of pee dip. Those few seconds felt like a lifetime though. When the line did show up it was dark. there was absolutely no question.

Those are lines. Two beautiful lines.

I leaped from my comfy chair, holding the test and squealing.

As I hopped around in circles, unable to contain my excitement, I suddenly slammed into something large and solid. I looked up, to see what my dumb ass ran into, and all the air in the room seemed to go away.

"congratulations, Luna." He snickered bitterly.

"I suppose we can call this a two in one." Mich grabbed my positive test with his index finger and thumb. Then flicked it into my comfy chair.

I opened my mouth to scream, but his hand clamped down on my face before any words could get out. There was a cloth in his hand. Damp with Wolf's bane.

How could I be kidnapped here? How could they take me from my safe place?

The world around me got hazy, it felt like the room was spinning. As the wolf bane began to dampen my senses, my nook went black.
