"Hey mom," I said, "When is dinner." "When ever I make it," she replied. I went to my room. I laid down on my bed. I was exhausted from football practice. I turned on my music and closed my eyes. I started to fall asleep but then my little sister came running in screaming. "Dallas, Dallas, Dallas!" Maggie squealed. "Yes?" I asked. "I want to play, will you play with me?" She ask. "Yea sure, just give me a quick minute to get ready." I replied tiredly. "Yayyyyyy!" She excitedly yelled. I got up and went down to the kitchen. I grabbed some quick snacks for me and my sister. Maggie was already waiting for me in the car, so I quickly grabbed everything and went to the car. "Yay, you brought some snacks." Maggie happily said. I took her to the park and before I even got parked, she had already jumped out of the car. Maggie ran towards the swing set. Got out to follow her but then something had caught my eye. It was a girl from my school. She was in my grade and in a few of my classes. "Mia," said one of her friends, "Are you paying attention." One of her friends turned and looked at me. I quickly turned away and went to my sister. I sat down in the swing next to her. "Dallas look at how high I'm going." She said. "I see, you're doing good, getting really high." I replied. She really liked the swing set. It's funny how she could swing for hours and never get bored with it. It was starting to get a late. My sister was still swinging, so I decided to give her thirty more minutes. "Hey, your name is Dallas right." I quickly turned around to see Mia and her friends standing behind me. "Yeah," I replied, "Mia, right?" "Yep," she said, "So, I was told you were looking over in my direction." "Oh, yea, sorry about that." I said nervously. She chuckled a little bit. "It's okay," she said, " is that your sister swinging." "Yea," I replied. "Cool," she replied. My sister hopped off the swing and came running towards me. "Dallas," She said," I'm hungry." "Okay," I replied, "Let's go get something to eat." "Yay, let go get some chicken," She yelled excitedly. "I'll see you later Mia," I said. Me and Maggie walked back to the car. We left the go get some food. When we got home my sister ran off to go eat. I went to go find my mom in the living room, and I gave her some chicken and fries. Later that my dad came home. I could tell he was drunk again cause he was yelling at everything. I turned my music off and went down stairs to find him and Maggie talking. "Hey, Dallas," My dad yelled. "Hey dad," I replied, "How was work today." "Good," he said. "That's good," I replied as he walked off. I went into the kitchen and got me a drink. My sister came walking in and opened up the fridge pulling out a beer and walk out. She was Dad's favorite, but hey, I didn't blaming him cause Maggie was really sweet and everyone loved her. My phone started buzzing. My mom was calling me. "Hey Mom," I sighed. "Hey I'm going to be home late, so I need you to" she started to say but then got cut off by someone in the background. "I got to go," She quickly said hanging up. I didn't realize that she left already. I don't see how she leaves without people realizing it. I just shrugged my shoulder and went back to my room. Laying in my bed, I couldn't stop thinking about Mia. I liked her a lot. She was really cute with blue eyes and her brownish red hair that hanged past her shoulder. And her smile its self was a light in the world. She was the girl that every one wanted. Her beauty was natural and she didn't wear any makeup. She was perfect. I ended up falling asleep only to be woken up by my sister. "Dallas," She said crying. "Are you okay Maggie?" I asked worriedly. "I had a bad dream," She said. "Do you want to tell me about it?" I asked. She shook her head and curdled up next to me. We fell back to sleep, with my mind wondering what dream could scare her that badly. She wasn't the kid who easily got scared. Later that night, I was a woken by my mom and dad yelling. I checked the time, it was one clock at night. I guess my dad stayed up till she came home. No one knew where she would go late at night, nor would we ask. My dad was probably tired of the secrets with her. I fell back asleep as seeing it wasn't my business what they were arguing about. Besides, we had school tomorrow so I need the sleep judging by the fact that I don't sleep well as is.
