"I really don't want to go, Dan." I said as I sat. "This clothing is not me." I looked down at the clothes Dan lent me and he sighed.
"Exactly, that's why it looks good." He said as he put on his leather jacket and I just scoffed.
I was currently wearing black, skinny jeans, a black 'Panic! At The Disco' t-shirt, my coat, and some boots. My hair was straightened and I had to fight with Dan for like two hours so I don't have to wear eye-liner. It was a very enlightening conversation.
"Let's go." He said, grabbing two boxes and shoving them into a duffle bag.
"Ugh." I shrugged, grabbed my phone and key, and left with him.
The walk was getting long and annoying. Dan explaining to me how those parties work really annoyed me since I don't go to parties and refuse to go to parties but since he offered breakfast for the rest of this then I'm good.
"Have you ever been to a party before, Lester?" Dan asked and I shrugged.
"No and I really don't want to now." I said not caring if it was an embarrassing detail of myself.
"That's just sad." He said and I sighed.
We made it to the two story house and went inside. Cigarette smoke, alcohol, and s*x surrounded the whole house. It was pretty big and had a lot of people and of course I wanted to leave.
"Well you made it. Now I can go." I said and turned but Dan grabbed my arm.
"Oh come on, Philip. Live a little!" He said passing the beer bottles and vodka bottles along.
"Nah I'm good." I said and headed out.
I felt like something fell out of my jacket but I just shrugged for it might've not been true. I walked back to my room and kept reading trying to avert my thoughts from the alcohol smell.
A few hours passed and Dan came in. I looked up from my book and he just stared at me.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked and I was confused.
"What?" I asked, putting down my book and the gasped when I saw the blue notebook that Dan was holding. "Where d-did you get that?" I asked pissed and scared.
"When you left I stayed there for like half and hour then your friend Pj came to me and told me to give this to you for you left it in the English classroom." He explained and handed it to me. "I wanted to leave the party so bad, I don't know why, so I started walking back as I read the notebook." He added and my eyes widened. "Phil, you're like... Ridiculously talented." He said and I looked at him with awe.
"Dan please-" i started but he stopped me.
"Don't argue with me on this, I'm serious. That writing is amazing." He said. "You should get them published." He said and I chuckled.
"You're not serious." I said but he just stared. "Okay so you are... I'm not publishing them." I said.
"Why not?" He asked annoyed.
"Well, first of all, these are all basically personal stuff that I've had to learn to deal with and lastly you're exaggerating. They're not good." I said and he just sighed, falling on his bed.
"You're so stubborn."
