As soon as the dark monster behind them started running, Chris and Quax immediately felt the violent earthquake that was now shaking the ground where they were walking.
The huge black trees all around them were also vibrating violently, their branches swinging from side to side, and their black leaves pouring everywhere on the ground where they were.
Chris and Quax then immediately turned around to face backwards, towards where the thudding noises on the ground were coming from.
As soon as they turned, they both laid eyes on the humongous monster creature, appearing partially hidden behind some trees that stood at a distance away from them.
Seeing the monster, Chris's mouth flew open, where he and the Dwarf now stood, staring backwards towards the approaching monster.
