"Wait," I stopped Lenny to kiss her.
I couldn't help myself. Especially after she cut me off when I was speaking to my mother. I was going to tell my mum that I wanted Lenny to be queen. I admit that it was rash. I hadn't even discussed it with Lenny yet.
However, I know Lenny enough by this point to know that she would never want to be a queen. Which is why I didn't ask her, and why I didn't push it when she cut me off. I have to coax Lenny into this. I have to make her fall so deeply in love with me that she's willing to take the throne if it means staying with me.
Otherwise... I might have to give up my kingdom.
