CLAIMED BY THE MAFIA

MY shifts was finally over, so I decided to head home. I couldn't find a taxi so I just decided to walk instead. The streets were quite, and there were barely any cars passing by. While I was walking, I suddenly heard footsteps behind me. It sounded hurried almost as if whoever was behind me was running from someone. I tightened my grip on the straps of my bag. I don't know why, but I suddenly felt nervous. A few moments later, yhe footsteps got closer. I quickly looked over my shoulder, but there was no one there. I continued walking, only this time, I started walking faster. A few seconds later, someone suddenly grabbed me and pulled me toward the side of the road. A man wrapped his arms tightly around me, holding me so firmly that I couldn't get away. “Let go of me!” I snapped, trying to break free from his grip. But he didn't listen. He didn't even move despite how hard I pushed him. The I heard more footsteps coming from behind us. My heart started beating even faster. I had a feeling they were his companions. His grip loosened for a moment, allowing me to finally look at his face. That was when I noticed the blood on his lips and the bruise on his jaw. He like he had just come from a fight. Mu eyes slowly moved down to his chest. There was a bullet wound on his side. “Help me,” He whisper weakly, exhaustion visible in his eyes. He looked like he was barely able to stand. Only then did I realize that he was running from someone. Judging by his injuries, he must have gotten hurt while fighting whoever was chasing him. And now, he was dragging me into his mess? “I can't help you, so please, just let me go!” I said, my voice slightly louder This tome. He quickly covered my mouth with his hand. “Hush. Don't make any noise,” He whispered, quietly looking around. “Let me go. Whatever trouble you got yourself into, don't drag me into it,” I whispered, still trying to get away from him.. “Stop talking.” We fell silent when we heard the footsteps of ths men. They wre much closer than before. “Find that bastard. This is our chance to take him down!” The man said. His voice was getting closer. The man who was holding me quickly stood up and pulled me yo my feet as well. Before I could even react, he suddenly pressed his lips against mine. My eyes widened is shock. “Miss? Have you seen a man around here...?” I heard someone ask from behind me. I couldn't see him because my back was facing him, but I knew he could see me kissing someone. I felt the man’s hand move to the back of my neck as he deepened the kiss. I tried pushing him away, but I couldn't. He was much stronger than me. “Looks like she's busy, Boss. She's kissing someone,” Another man said. I assumed he was one of the men with the guy behind me. “Keep looking! Search the entire area. Check every corner!” The man ordered his men. It was only after they finally left that the man in front of me let go of me. My hand immediately landed on his cheek as I glared at him. “You jerk!” I snapped. “How dare you do that to me!” “Sorry,” was all he said. I was about to slap him again when he caught my hand. He looked at me dangerously. “I’ll pay you. How much you want?” He asked, which only made me even more pissed at him. Without thinking twice, I used my other hand and slapped him hard across the face. This time, he didn't manage to dodge it. Instead of getting angry, a smirk slowly appeared on his lips. “One more slap,” He warned, his voice low and threatening. “And I'll make sure you'll curse at me and hate me for what I'm about to do to you.”
