Jim wasn’t great company for the next few hours. He tried to take advantage of everything the villa had to offer. Sure, Mike wasn’t here to enjoy it with him, but it was still there, warm and sunny and beautiful. Who wouldn’t enjoy a dip in a mosaic lined pool? It all seemed so hollow with Mike gone. And when Jim remembered it was his own fault Mike had left, especially in such a situation, he couldn’t stand to look at himself. Yeah, partners were supposed to share things with each other. There were exceptions to that rule, and Jim knew it couldn’t be easy for Mike to open himself up after everything.
