Chapter Nine Run The sound of bullets flying over her frail body breached her final grip on her control, feeling the fear of death come so close from before to only be done today, wracked her body to collapse to the splintered floor. Samantha did not dare open her eyes, not wanting to confirm what she heard and what was real. If she kept her eyes closed, it wasn’t real. None of it was. Screams from outside the kitchen window pushed her further into her uncontrolled logic.
