I always obeyed, I never broke the rules, I stayed with my tribe and I kept my eyes on the future, nothing was going to get in my way of becoming queen. How did I let it get all thrown away… He was my burning enemy. How could I fall this deep... let's rewind to the beginning where everything started before I fell into the grasp of darkness. By the age of 12, I was always a fast learner & a very-in-the-box person. I never wanted to live without my tribe & parents. I did everything as told. Cleaned, cooked, went to school. I wasn't into the whole of being a crazy boy or into love. I knew I was beautiful though my mom described me as an Angel. Beautiful blue Atlantic eyes. Dimples that showed like a gem. "White hair as white as snow & dark, beautiful rooted black streaks". An hourglass figured my skin the color of a beautiful tanned olive. "My dove", my father would say. I was the only child for a very long time till I turned 18, then my younger sister was born. Ryn was her name. She was beautiful. Long black hair is darker than a suit. Her skin was pale as the color of snow, but she was beautiful with brown-golden crispy eyes. She was my rock as I am hers. She was the reason I wanted the crown so she could live a better life than me. By 18, I was supposed to be married off, since my mother and father were two different packs that how to align to come together and be one. I wasn't open to the idea & my father understood that, so he made different changes for me. By the time I turned 21, if I hadn't found my partners, I was going to be married to the Forbes family. His persistence is that I make my own decisions and pave my way. My mother agreed as well, but she wasn't too fond of me not marrying into the Forbes family. The son was an awful person. I couldn't imagine the life he would've bestowed on me. But I agreed, yet I wasn't searching, so I was hoping love would come for me. My connection to the earth was all I needed. I could feel nature in my hand because of the raging powers in my bloodline. I'm a hybrid. One of the few living or so I thought. A vampire with a mix of witchcraft and I was very powerful. I was the strongest in my bloodline, yet I was the most peaceful. My family were the rightful owners of the throne of Sage Cliff. It was my turn soon, and I needed a partner very soon. "Star", my mother called, rocking her chair back & forth holding my little sister Ryn. She was 3 and such a mommy girl. " Go fetch me medicine from the Gilbert family." She said it quietly, so nobody in the castle could hear her. Her eyes pinned and looked into my soul. My mother was beautiful as they come. Black rooted hair that lingered on her back, pale as snow just like my sister, & beautiful brown eyes. My mother's smile was the most precious thing about her. It brought life & it was warm. I wish she would smile often these days, but since my sister was sick she couldn't bear to even leave her sight without a worried expression. But mother the Gilbert family?.. If dad knew "Hush Star", your sister needed help and their medication was the best in the whole town. I nodded & agreed to go on this journey. The Gilbert family was an alley, but they also had dark ties. They had the best products in town besides ours & my sister needed to become better. Crossing paths with them would be dangerous since they were great friends with the Wicker family... They were our enemies. They burned multiple houses and homes of ours & killed a bunch of our people. They were in the middle of the Gilbert family and great alleys with them. So this was a really dangerous mission. I put on a tight black fitted suit and a dark jacket & emerald green boots. They were within walking distance, so I slid out the back door hoping nobody saw me. As I figured, nobody did. I walked on the baby blue path, the beautiful green trees all around me with their golden bridges. I stumbled upon Gilbert's beautiful, stunning mansion. As beautiful as the sunset, it was pink with baby blue stripes and white streaks and flowers placed all around the outer layers. I looked around & saw many cars. I mumbled "I need to be quick". I walked up to the beautiful golden gate & tapped the bell. " It hissed like a cat." Who went there, a little cold voice answered." It was their servant Bernie." " "It's me" replied Star, "I wanted medicine for my sister who is sick from a cold." He answered "Come in & be quick. "Athene will be by the door." I said alright quietly" The golden gates creaked open, and I swiftly walked through the black door and Athene had it slightly opened and waved for me to come in. it has been ages, you look beautiful as ever how are you?. She said with a smile. Athene was a year older than me, but she was the most beautiful maiden the Gilbert family had. " Hair red as a strawberry & a slim figure but tall and very sweet. " Golden brown skin like the color of autumn flowers "& green emerald eyes." I smiled nice to see you too then" That was the nickname I used for her. " You need to come over more I need to tell you all about my marriage. She said, clapping her hands and grinning ear to ear. "Hush child, she didn't come for your constant chatting." Her mother appeared in the middle of the doorway holding a small bottle. " How are you, child?" She said with a straight cunning face. She looked like autumn and had a very strong figure. " Fine, I said, playing with my palms." I'm sorry to hear your sister getting sick from the winter." Send my regards to your mother, she said, coming closer to me with a small smile." Will do it alright she will get better. She comes to me and hands out a bag filled with medicine. I took it smiling & thanking her. Suddenly, a pounding knock hit the door. You must go now… She looked alarmed & turned to Athene, whose smile had turned into a startled expression. She grabbed my hand and led me upstairs and slammed her door shut. " She hesitated and spoke and finally sputtered. " The wicker family is here & you need to get out like now" An angry expression flew over my face, how could you let me in with knowing they were arriving." I-I didn't she said with a sad expression... I miss you coming here. I wouldn't have done that. A knock hit her door. She looked petrified. She quickly opened her mouth & opened the window. Jump now, she said in a whispering tone. I looked down & saw a long terrifying steep jump. " I jumped, holding onto my bag and thumped, I felt a sharp pain & looked down Glass I cried." My vision went blurry and I could see a male standing over me. " Bleeding out my side because of this glass", the male looked down & grinned. "Kill her."
