"Maria is the first to meet Roy, who becomes her crush. However, she also becomes the enemy of Stephen, who is a key character in our story. Stephen has a reason for being perpetually cold and gruff, and perhaps only Maria can figure out what it is.".

CHAPTER 1:FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Here's the translation: "Hey best, are you on the 2nd floor?" she asked with a furrowed brow. "Yeah, you're on the 2nd floor too, right?" I asked. "Let's just go together and find out," she said cheerfully, grabbing my hand. "Oh, I hope we'll be classmates, because you're fun to talk to!" She playfully hit my head. "Yeah, let's go before we get lost in conversation." When we reached the 2nd floor, there were only three sections: Camia, Cattleya, and Daffodil. We checked the Camia section first, and I confirmed that's where I was. I looked for Mia's name but couldn't find it. Then, I saw his name on the Cattleya section, and boom! That's where he was. "Alright, bestie, I'll see you at lunch," he said gloomily. "I'll go to my room now before we're late." I hugged him and we did our besties sign. He went to his room, and I went to mine. I was surprised to see two handsome guys in my class. One was a moreno guy, tall and muscular, with a chiseled nose and a kind face. The other was a mestizo guy, also handsome and muscular, but with a serious expression. I sat in the second row, thinking it would be easier to copy from the board. Our new teacher, Ms. Zeth Smith, arrived and introduced herself. "Good morning, class. Welcome to Dr. Lavinzo Satiago High School. I want you all to participate in my class, and I don't want anyone to be left behind." She asked us to introduce ourselves one by one. As we introduced ourselves, I learned that the moreno guy was Roy Rivera, a rich kid who chose to attend a public school. The mestizo guy was Stephen Dela Costa. When it was my turn, I took a deep breath and said, "Good morning, everyone. My name is Maria Monteshor, I'm 12 years old, and my hobbies are listening to music, dancing, and sports. I'm a sharp-tongued person, but I'm also kind." Some classmates laughed, but I didn't care. When I glanced at the two handsome guys, they looked serious. Ms. Zeth rearranged our seats, and I ended up in the first row. The guy behind me was Roy, and my seatmate was a girl named Denise. She introduced herself and asked if we could be friends. I smiled and shook her hand. Just as we started writing, Roy tapped my shoulder, and I turned around. Oh my gosh, he was so handsome! "Yes?" I asked, trying to seem uninterested. "May I borrow your correction tape? I forgot to buy one," he said with a smile. "By the way, my name is-" "You're Roy Rivera, right?" I said with a smile, handing him the correction tape. "Yes, you're smart to know my name, Maria Monteshor, the sharp-tongued but kind one," he said, still smiling. I felt awkward and said, "Uh, I really appreciate you knowing my name too." He teased me, saying I was cute when I blushed. I looked away and got my correction tape back. That guy was a player, and he was good at making girls blush! Here's the translation: The bell rang, signaling the end of our first Filipino class. Now, it seemed we'd be diving into math, and I really hated math!!! When our teacher started, she seemed just as intense as Stephen, who looked serious. We stood up to greet our teacher and wish her a happy birthday, but it turned out it was just a class greeting. "Good morning, class. Take your seat, please. Today, I'll just create a group chat for our math subject, and I'll send our discussion tomorrow, so take a rest for now." Thankfully, we didn't have any work to do in math. I glanced behind me, and Roy was focused on his phone. I waved my hand in front of his face. "Uhm... hi, can I ask something?" He nodded. "Are you a smart boy?" He looked up at me. "Not really, but I'm good at math." Jackpot! The handsome guy was good at math! "That's great," I said, turning back around. "What did you say?" Roy asked, making me turn around again. "Nothing, Roy. I was just... never mind," I replied, looking at the guy sitting next to him who was eating. "And you, who are you?" "I'm Ryan del Lovavo," he said briefly. I raised an eyebrow; Ryan seemed short, and I was taller than him. He looked like he'd fit in with my seatmate. "Hold on, minion. Don't eat yet. We'll have recess soon, just wait," I said with a wink. He looked surprised by my action. "WTF, I'm not a minion! You were just sleeping, that's why you're short," he teased.
