The year was 1920. Everything was about elegant parties, beautiful dresses,and having the time of your life. I never thought I would fall in love so fast and have my heart broken even fast. The day of my 21st birthday my mother planned the most beautiful party. The theme was gold. There was gold cover plates, flowers and table cloths. The glasses were the best crystal money could buy with champagne that has heavenly. A large dance floor and a band that played throughout the night. My dress was a beautiful silk gold knee length dress. My shoulder length strawberry blonde hair hung down and I had a dimond headband on. I was beautiful and ready to meet the 50 or so most eligible men and their families from town. Little did I know that on this very night I would meet the most handsome, strong-willed and stubborn man. He was the most wealthy man in the state. No one thought he would even show up to my party. Let alone show interest in me. He stood over 6foot tall had crystal blue eyes and jet black hair. Every woman at the party would have been honored to have just one dance. But he set his eye on me and you could feel the jealousy in the room as we dances the night away.
