A Forbidden Friendship Turned To Love

"Eighteen, nineteen, twenty! Ready or not here I come!" On a sunny afternoon the seven year old Molly was playing hide and seek with Jonathan. Jonathan was a few years older than her and the son of one of the servants. Jonathans mother was one of the maids and his father worked in the stables, taking care of the horses and foals. Jonathan was supposed to be helping his father, but he liked to play hide and seek with Molly. Even though he wasn't allowed, due to the fact that the people around here considered him as low class. Molly was looking around for Jonathan in the warm sunlight. Where could he be? She already looked bij the well, she also looked by the stables. She was trying to think of more places he could be, until she heard someone calling her name. "Molly? Molly? Molly where are you?" Molly was walking towards the voice. It was Betsy, one of the maids. "Where were you Molly?", said Betsy. "I am playing hide and seek with Jonathan, Betsy", Molly replied. "Again? You know you are not allowed to play with that boy. What if someone sees you?", Betsy asked. "Don't worry Betsy. Everything is fine. I just have to find him." And Molly looked at Betsy with her sweetest smile. "You are impossible Molly. You have to be careful. Promise me you will be careful." Betsy replied with a worried look on her face. "I promise Betsy.", and Molly walked away to continue the game of hide and seek. As Molly was searching for Jonathan something was happening inside the house. The lord, Molly's father, had summoned the stable master. "You called sir?" "Yes. Where is your son?" the lord asked. "He is working the stables just as I told him to do." the stablemaster replied. "Are you sure?" the lord asked. "Yes sir. I told him this morning sir." "Do you like working here?" the lord asked. "Yes sir. The stables is where I belong." "Your son doesn't seem to think so." the lord said. "Excuse me sir?" the stablemaster replied with a confused look on his face. "I have been told, that your son....is not working the stables at all. He is playing games with the young lady. My daughter. That is forbidden." the lord said. "I am so sorry sir. I will talk to my son right away sir. I will make sure he will never do that again sir." the stablemaster said with a frightened look on his face. "That won't be necessary. You and your family are hereby exciled. You have until sunset to pack all your belongings and leave. If not, actions will be taken against your son." the lord said. "But sir!" the stablemaster said, "I am deeply sorry sir. It won't happen again sir! I promise sir!" "This is not op for debate. I have made my decision. I have warned you to many times. Now leave." the lord said. "But sir!" "Leave!" the lord yelled. The stablemaster did what he was told.
