Barracks of the Diora kingdom Remi has changed from his uniform into a dark blue shirt with a yellow collar, the shirt had a big "D" on the back and a yellow ring where Remi's navel was, he had on blue trousers and black boots. A few days after his arrival, Remi kept his distance from the others. (I'd rather establish my ground before inviting others) Remi thought to himself. Simply meaning his conscious able making friends in this strange place. Finally Victor invited the new 6 recruits to the main guild hall. In Diora they have 4 guild hall, 3 belonged to the strongest knights of the kingdom. But the one Remi was currently in was a freelancer one for unranked knights. "I suppose I should also tell you about your ranks now huh" Victor said gripping his chin. "The 6 of you are all bronze level knights and your also rankless for the time being, if you want to raise up your rank you'll have to accomplish great feats and survive." Victor explained. The levels were- Bronze>sliver>gold>platinum Platinum being the highest leveled knights. (If I'm going to strive in this world my secondary goal should be to reach platinum) Remi thought, he's definitely more ambitious in this world were the rules are flipped sideways. "All this is really confusing smmmm" Alex said sighing strangely. "Supposing one wants to reach a level instantly what who'd he have to do?" Ali the oldest male asked Ali was definitely the type that wanted to get things done quickly. "That's easy, go defeat some demons" Victor said nonchalantly. " Yikes..." Deborah commented her hair looking even rougher now when she's scared. "Back to The matter, there's this excursion we do whenever we get new recruits, if your able to survive in the wilderness for a week you'll get free equipment, housing, food and of course a cash prize if your interested" Victor announced. Any normal person would be excited but the 6 people in front of him were the most scared of the idea, even the new ambitious Remi didn't want to risk his life for this... Then all of a sudden Remi's hand was lifted into the air. "The hell?" Remi said as the other 5 looked at him like a mad man. Remi felt like his hand was being tied by an invisible string, he looked around and saw a knight with glowing fingers, he was dark skinned and bold with a big scar on his scalp. "So Remi...? I guess your the only one brave enough to take on the challenge good" Victor said as he wrote Remi's name on a chart. "Um actually..." Before Remi could say his mind he felt his his mouth shut itself close (the hell is this?) Remi connected this to the puppet master standing on the stairs of the guild hall. "Well with that said your dismissed Remi come with me" Victor said. The others left to the knights barracks while Remi stayed behind. "Sorry for the forced entry but we needed someone to take on the challenge and I analyze that your the strongest stat wise" Victor complimented Remi. Not used to getting compliments Remi smiled "not a problem I was just nervous to speak up that's all" Remi said rubbing the back of his head. Victor smiled and prepped Remi for his journey. He told Remi about how to make magic maps by placing his blood on magic scrolls and the inventory menu on his Halo to store and a finite amount of things but he should still carry a bag just in case. Also that the bald knight and two others would be watching him from afar if he should need saving, but then the challenge would end with his loss. The next day. Remi left the barracks early in the morning and didn't say a word to the others not like he cared enough to tell them his leaving. He walked almost 2 miles into the plain forest. He stumbled upon a rocky cavern next to a stream under the forest cliff. He took out a scroll and bit his thumb and placed the blood on it marking his area. "No monsters spotted this seems like a good place to set up a hideout" Taking out the treasure chest from his Halo inventory, Remi took out a pickaxe. With his new found strength making the cavern a lot more roomier was easy and he even made window holes. Remi then went to chop down a few trees, wanting to make a door, windows and a bed ramp. After setting up his bed with the mattress from his inventory Remi went hunting. "Still no monsters in sight, that's really odd." Remi said as he walked the forest floor with his short sword. Remi managed to catch 4 wild fowls and decided to breed them. "Reminds me of when my mom would do this. Damn I miss her." Remi said reminiscing about his past life and wondering how his mother would deal with another death in her life. Remi cast the thought out of his mind cause if he was to feel sad about it, it would hinder his growth in this new world. 5 days later Remi has been able to live freely on his own for almost a week now, he had food in the form of chickens and eggs and pure water from the stream. He was also lucky enough to not meet any undead, skeletons or spiders, even at night as long as torches were lit in front of his house no monsters would come near it. Remi took out his map an began to think what he would do reward then... "Help please help us!" A cry was heard from out of the house cavern. Remi dropped the map on his treasure chest with all of his belongings and ran out. He opened the door and saw a light skinned elderly man and 3 children (teens) wearing white tunics and red collars. "Please help monsters attacked my house " the old man spoke. "Please can we seek shelter in your home" asked the youngest looking girl with twintails. "Sure come in" Remi said as he brought all of them into his home. "Thank you very much sir. My name is George Windler and these 3 are my children Eric, Rebecca and Charlie" the old man introduced. Eric was the blue haired boy, Rebecca was the tomboyish girl while the young girl was Charlie. "Don't worry about it George it's my job to protect the civilian of this world after all. So where's your house?" Remi asked. "It's just west of here. Please be safe" George said to Remi. Remi nodded took his sword and ran off West leaving his treasure and map with the Windlers. After heading to West Remi found an abandoned wood cabin. On a hill next to a waterfall. "Where are the monsters" asked Remi. At that very moment Remi heard growling. "Gruuuugraaaa!" Multiple zombie like creatures spawned out of nowhere. "The hell did they come from" Remi said as he drew his sword ready to fight. A hologram appeared next to a zombie this was a projection of George! "George what's the meaning of this s**t!" Remi screamed. "Hoho sir Remi thank you for the stronghold and the treasure, the 'Aris Church' thanks you for your generous donation" George spoke. "Aris church?" Remi repeated. "Now for the sake of our God you must die!"George stated and with a snap of his fingers the zombies started swelling up with puss as they approached Remi. Remi swung his sword in disarray as his mind was aflame with heavy emotions and thoughts. The zombies couldn't hold it anymore and exploded with a burst of puss breaking up the piece of the cliff Remi was on and into the waterfall cavern. "George!!!" Remi screamed as he plummeted to his death. Deep underground Remi's half dead body was laying on River bank of an underground reservoir. The salt water stinged his wounds as blood sipped out from them. A small light shined on his face making his right eye open. Remi lifted his hand up reaching for the light. He could only lift his index finger so it looked like he was pointing towards the sky. "Unfair... Once... More..." Remi said faintly as he was drifting away from life once again. He needed another chance he couldn't just die again after getting this opportunity he wanted vengeance in this unfair world. "Oh it's been a while since I've seen such a wrathful soul" a giddy demonic voice spoke out. Remi could only see a light blue fog in front of him. "So you want to live right? You want revenge on those who put you here right? Then I'll be glad to help you out with your wrath!" The demonic fog said as if smiling as well. Remi could no longer speak but he wanted another chance at life no matter the cost. "Hehehehehe let's begin!" The fog said as it entered through every hole in Remi's body, invading him mentally and physically. "Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Remi screamed in pain as it felt like his whole body was destroying itself from the inside mind, body and most importantly his soul. With that Remi's story takes a demonic turn for the worst. Till next time CIAO!
