Chapter 3: witch's cabin

Underground
Remi wakes up after passing out due to the pain.
"I'm alive and... What happened to my wounds" Remi said to himself as he looked puzzled.
His major head injury had miraculous healed up. 'Grrrrrrrrr' a sound of hunger came from Remi's stomach, he gripped it tight. Remi had never felt this type of hunger before.
"I need to get out of here" Remi said as he walked through the dark cave holding his broken sword.
Heading to higher ground was quickly eliminated as an option when Remi hit a dead end so he started to use his broken sword to dig upward and climb. While crawling up through the gravel and stone he entered a tiny cave full of giant spiders. Remi hunger was triggered by the arachnids, (are these spiders edible might as well keep a few for when I get to the surface) Remi thought to himself.
"Sriiiiiii" the spiders yelled as they saw Remi.
"Rahhhh!!!" Remi yelled as he charged towards them 'slashhhhh!' Remi's sword cut through all the spiders at once like butter.
(Why were they so weak? Or did I land critical hits) Remi wondered. He shoved the dead spider corpses into his inventory and continued his journey to the surface.
Remi dug his way close to the surface, then he sensed a strange feeling. He looked up and saw a strong red aura coming from above. His urge for battle compelled him to strike (what's happening to my body) Remi wondered.
'c***k!' a loud noice from underground erupted as Remi jumped from the crater.
Surface. Nature plain.
The situation in front of him was a human being attacked by what looked like a giant wolf.
"Ah please help me! I'll forever be in your debt!" The terrified human spoke, but his words fell on deaf ears as Remi's gaze was set on the wolf.
'Growl!!!' the wolf snarled at Remi, Remi closed the gap between him and the beast.
'Grrrru' the wolf cried as Remi without a second thought cut it down in seconds.
"Why do I feel the urge to kill more of these.
"Are you a demon?" The human's voice finally reached Remi.
"My name is Edward Anderson. Thank you for saving me!" The young man thanked Remi.
"It's okay getting back to the issue at hand what do you mean am a demon?" Remi asked.
Taking a closer look at Edward he was a short guy who had red curly hair and emerald green eyes his face looked soft and that kept Remi at ease. He wore a light brown tunic with dark brown linings, This meant he was part of the lower class of humans in this world. Edward gave Remi a bowl of clear water, as he was about to drink it he saw his reflection.
"What in the world?" Remi learnt that his ears had become pointed like an elf but shorter, his canine were a lot sharper and his once brown pupils were now bright blue.
'dankk!' Remi dropped the bowl of water and cupped his face with his hands.
"Oh God what's happened to me!" Remi screamed.
Edward's eyes start to water as he saw this display. (Why the hell is he crying? I should be the one balling my eyes out here) Remi thought to himself.
"I'm so sorry sir, it must be hard but don't worry... I'll help you through it, you saved my life so am forever in your debt" Edward said as he moved closer to him.
"Heh how are you going to help me with..." Remi stopped halfway as his stomach growled again 'gruuuu' .
He then searched Edward's bag for some food and found a sandwich.
"Wait sir you can't.." Edward was stopped as Remi took a bite.
All the color in Remi's face vanished as the sandwich tasted like 10 year old expired bread and mayonnaise. He spat out the bit he had in his mouth.
"Sir demons can't eat human food" Edward finished.
This hit Remi like a brick, considering that his only good talent was his culinary skills. Edward then handed him the spider legs he had gotten. Remi begrudgingly took the legs and started munching. It was somewhat sour but filling.
"So I guess only monsters work as food?" Remi asked.
"Yes it's mainly the one of the only thing that fill your stomach and health back. Remi seeing how useful the information from Edward convinced himself to trust him.
"I'll let accompany me, but try anything funny and your as good as dead!" Remi threatend Edward.
"I would never think of it sir!... By the way, may I know your name" Edward asked.
"It's Remi. Just Remi let's get a move on before more monsters show up" Remi said knowing his murderous feelings would erupt if he saw anymore.
So the duo headed east looking for a near by town.
Remi told Edward about what he had experienced and the Aris cultist.
"That's so sad" Edward said tearing up a little, it seems a major trait of this guy is crying.
"Also that blue fog you mentioned was probably one of the seven deadly sins, I'm not sure which one but once you let it into your body you became a demon" Edward continued to explain.
"So since am a demon now my strength increased too?" Remi asked as he tried to look at his stats from his Halo. Remi was shocked to see his status bar

'What's up with my attack stat why is it unknown?" Remi asked.
"You see the seven sins grant their host a *blessing* that makes one stat overpowered while the others are less than average" Edward stated.
This made Remi scared as he would have to be careful about his reckless fighting style.
The duo found themselves in a swamp like area, there was greenish water everywhere and the trees weren't trees at all they were giant mushrooms.
"The hell is this place?" Remi asked baffled.
"Am not sure" Edward replied.
"Ah! look at that a cabin!" Edward pointed at a cabin like structure on a giant lilypad.
The duo entered the cabin, it was surprisingly roomier than it looked with about 6 rooms in it. Edward started looking for food in the a trunk.
"Seriously are you that hungry?" Remi sighed.
"Of course I've not eaten anything since this morning" Edward retorted sniffing a moldy mushroom.
Remi feeling annoyed by his partners comic behavior went out for some fresh air.
Remi stepped out and saw a mysterious figure staring at him. The strange figure wore a blue robe and a pointed hat, it also had pale green skin, red eyes and a long nose.
"I can't believe filth is ransacking my magic lair" The being said disgusted as it raised it's right hand up glowing with green aura.
Remi took his broken sword in his right hand, (Did that thing just call me filth!) Remi's blood started to boil but he kept his cool. "Sorry about that my friend and I... Remi was stopped as his right hand was engulfed in green flames to then he dropped his sword.
"Ggahhh! " Remi screamed as his hand was burnt he saw the being taking aim at him.
Edward quickly came out of the cabin holding a flower pot which he threw at the being. The being dodge it and misfired it's green fireball.
"Sir Remi! that a witch! Don't let her attacks hit you!" Edward ordered.
With all the thought running through his mind Remi let out these words, "That's a woman!".
As Remi said this he was pushed back by a fire ball that knocked him into the swamp.
"Sir Remi!" Edward screamed worriedly.
The witch pointed her fingers at Edward "your next chubby!" She said.
"Giiiiiiii!! " Edward cried. As the witch was about to end Edward's life a sharp pain arose from her right arm.
"Gyahhhhhh" the witch screamed as she realized Remi had recovered from her attack and broke her arm with his punch.
"I'm back witch!" Remi screamed as he rushed her with a flurry of punches, while the witch desperately dodged his attacks.
Edward seeing a chance spoke up "sir Remi go for her chest!".
Remi then answered
"okay it's not like there's anything there anyway!".
"How dare you... Gyahhhhhh!" The witch screamed in pain as Remi punched her chest.
"Rahhhhhh!" Remi yelled as he put more power into his fist, the force of the punch tore a hole through the witch killing her instantly.
Remi dropped the corpse on the swampy ground and smiled menacingly. Edward witnessing this confirmed what demon had made it's home in Remi's body.
"The Unstoppable demon of wrath... Remi?"
That took longer than it was supposed too.so I'll release the next one sooner bye for now.
