Dylan's POV I wake up and realize I’m in a hospital. The ceiling is unfamiliar. My head feels like it weighs a ton, and my entire body throbs, especially my stomach. But then her name hits me like a freight train. Anna. I sit up too fast and nearly scream as pain rips through my side. I grab at the spot where the bullet tore through me. Gods, what was in that thing? Wolfsbane? Silver? Whatever it was, it burned. But none of that matters. All I can think about is Anna. Is she safe? Did she survive? She would have died if I hadn’t jumped in front of that bullet. She would’ve been gone. Just the thought tightens something around my chest. I try to swing my legs over the bed when the door flies open. Chris storms in and stops dead in his tracks when he sees me upright. “You’re awake,”
