Dylan's POV I’m deep in sleep, enjoying the rare peace of a quiet morning, when it starts—noise. First, it’s just a faint shuffling, but then it grows louder. Voices, footsteps, furniture being dragged across the floor like someone’s trying to remodel the whole damn mansion. I try to ignore it, bury my head into the pillow, but it keeps getting worse. Enough. I snap my eyes open, chest rising and falling with each furious breath. My fists tremble beside me.
