At the young age, she become double degree holder already without any support from her family name. She work hard like everybody else that dream of becoming a police, while taking the police profession, she taken the detective too. "Congratulation, Officer Caddel." He smiled at me while shaking my hands. I smile a little and nodded my head, after taking the certificate, I walk down to stairs to get back on my seated chair. I keep my blankly eyes on the stage and watch the students get their own. “Are you going to protect her?” He nodded. "I promise" I nodded and looked at Lorei. I looked at our hands that holding each other tightly. Even it hurts to let go her hand, I decided to gave him Lorei's hand and release the grip from Lorei. I was about to walk away from them when someone hug me from behind. "DON'T GO!" She shouted loudly. I looked at the door and sighed when I don't see them, thankgod they didn't heard Lorei's voice. I face and knee down infront of her where I can met her eyes, she just a little girl and too young to witness and experience this thing. I smiled at her and fix the hair strand swaying on her face. "I will come back for you, my baby. It may..." I sighed and continued talking, "Maybe it takes a little time but for now, you need to go with him. Do you understand?" She looking at my eyes with those sad looks. Even though cofuse, she nodded, "I will wait for you, even it takes time. I will always wait for you, Lana!" I heard a loud bang outside and I don't know what happened next. I just wake up, catching my breath and sweating. That dream again, I lay down again and looked at the clock in the bed side table. My eyes shifted in the ceiling and watch the empty wood. The darkness of my room fill the satisfaction of my feelings even closing my eyes. I get up from the bed and directly go for shower, after that I wear a black sleeve and pants, I tied my hair down. I accidentally looked at the mirror and observe my self. I shake my head and quickly get my things to go outside. "Are you officer caddel?" He asked uninterested. "Yes, captain." I answered. "You will be assigned in Narcotic Depart." He throw the papers in the table and go back what his doing. "But sir-" He interrupt me. "No buts, no question." He looked at me and smirked. "If you don't want it then leave. I don't want any kitty cat running around under my reservision." He smiled annoyingly and turn on his radio, he started swinging his hands into the air like I am invisible in his eyes. He stopped and seriously looked into my eyes, I didn't move away my eyes and boredly look at him. "If you want in your position longer, do what I say from now on? Got it?" He annoyingly smiled again. I nodded and pick up the hard folder, I immediately exit his office and directly go in the narcotic department. I put my things down on the table that made the people look into where I'm standing. "I am officer caddel, newly appointed into narcotic department." It's enough for them to hear what I say but they just look at me. "Who are you?" Someone talked behind me. "I am the new member." He nodded and ignore me. "Where's my desk?" I ask them but no one answered. I keep myself out from getting mad, I sighed and put the things in the empty desk. No one complained so I take the signed to open and sign-in in the computer. "There's a new member!?" Someone shouted. I looked at the door and saw the person who shout. As soon as he entered the room, the other member of department stand and salute him so I did the same thing. He must be the chief captain. "Let me see you, Officer?" He approach me and gesture to put down our salutes. I put my hand behinde me, "Officer Caddel, Chief!" He have a huge smile and an happy aura. He tried to approach me but I step back because of his fast action. He tried hugging me but I dodge his gesture, I looked at him blankly. "We have another cyden." He laughed. I looked at him and he just seated, continued what his doing. I am confuse on what he said because I think the people in this department have the same personality. He just left saying goodbye and entered his office inside this room. I seated and looked around, "Let's see what can we do." "Hey, newbie." I looked at him and didn't answer. "Look at this and report to me." He throw the hardbound in my desk and left the room, its too thick for a new member like me. I sighed and open the book to start working. I stand up to salute when I heard the door opened, they quickly entered the department room and started to entered in the meeting room. "Stay there." He stopped in the door and point at me then continue entering with shouting the door and the wall. Even feeling annoyed, I seated in my seat and looked at the room. I sighed and continue what I was doing. They exit the room and walked out in the room without looking at me. I looked at Cyden and he just hissed, exit the room. Moments later, someone talk behind me. "What are you doing here, Officer Caddel?" I looked behind me. "The team has a drug traffic operation. They left you behind- I mean he?" "Yes, Chief Andres." He nodded. "Work hard to include in operation? Okay? Fighting." He just left me alone here in this room. I heavenly sighed, "Let's make this work worth it." "Hey." Someone tap my shoulder. "Go home if you want to sleep, we don't need a lazy ass here." I quickly get up and looked behind me, I turn my gaze at him and his frowning and staring blankly at me. He just hissed and go back to his desk. I get up and quickly left the room without looking back. "I'm going to get a quick meal." I whispered. I looked around and saw a pending machine, I quickly go infront and put a money on it. I wait for the food to drop but it didn't come out. I tried pressing all the buttons. "Don't destroy the vending machine." I looked behind me and saw a man wearing full black clothes. "Do you even know how to use that?" I shake my head and I heard a little sound coming from the machine, I take the coffee can and raise to his face. He smiled and wave his hand, "Next time press the white button after selecting. Godspeed." My eyes followed him getting in the black van, I opened the can and drink it straightly, while drinking I saw the police building burning infront of my eyes and I immediately call the firs station to alarm them. "Thankgod, the fire didn't catch the files area." We all seated and catch our breathe. "Hey newbie, goodjob." I looked at them. They are smiling right now at me and telling me that I did a goodjob. I sighed and smiled at them. I saw them sleeping when I entered the station and push the fire alarm to warn them. I looked at Cyden and he just raise his left eyebrow. "You can go home, Officer Caddel." I nodded. The moment I go out the cold breeze greeted me, I hug myself and go to the parking lot. I take out the key of my motorcycle and put my helmet on to started driving the vehicle. I stopped the motorcycle infront of the small house, I sighed and looked at the house, I removed my helmet and get down from the motorcycle. "Are you smoking?" I refuse the smoke he giving to me. "Once the operation complete, your rank will going to higher." I nodded and look at him, lighting up his cigarette and the lighter didn't turn on; I put out the lighter and light up his cigarette while making eye contact. He just smiled and removed the cigarette, blew the smoke infront of my face, that's why I cough. "Funny." He chuckle and continued smoking. I looked at him sharply and sway my hand to removed the smell of smoke in my face. "Jerk." I slowly walk away and heard his laugh. "Hey Lanna!" I looked at him irritately, "Come to the welcome party at GrillZill." "I will." I wave at him. "Goodbye, Mr. Jerk." "Don't forget to bring the papers!" He shouted. "Okay boss. Whatever." I pick the phone and suddenly I saw some light in my right side coming at me. I closed my eyes and waited the truck to smash my body but instead, I feel the firm body wrapping around my body and I lost consciousness.
