Chapter 2: The Secret of the Giant Crab
The sun was already high in the sky when Mang Lito and the giant crab began their journey.
Mang Lito carried the glowing pearl carefully in his old fishing bag. Every few steps, he looked at it to make sure it was still there.
“I still can't believe this is happening,” he said. “Yesterday, I was just trying to catch a crab. Now I have a giant magical crab as my friend!”
The giant crab clicked its claws.
CLACK! CLACK!
Mang Lito laughed.
“Yes, yes. I know. You're not just any crab.”
They walked along the beach until they reached a quiet part of the village. The giant crab suddenly stopped.
“What is it?” Mang Lito asked.
The crab pointed toward the sea with one enormous claw.
Mang Lito looked carefully.
Far away, he saw something floating on the water.
It looked like an old wooden boat.
“Maybe someone needs help,” Mang Lito said.
They quickly walked toward the shore.
When the boat came closer, Mang Lito noticed that it was empty.
There was no fisherman inside.
Instead, there was an old wooden box covered with strange symbols.
Mang Lito opened the box carefully.
Inside was an old map.
“A map?” he whispered.
He unfolded it on the sand.
The map showed the village, the sea, a mysterious island, and an old lighthouse.
At the bottom of the map were three words:
THE GUARDIAN'S PATH.
Mang Lito stared at the words.
“So this must be connected to the pearl.”
The giant crab nodded.
Suddenly, the glowing pearl became brighter.
A strange image appeared above it.
Mang Lito saw the old lighthouse from the map.
Then he heard the same mysterious voice from before.
“Find the ancient lighthouse before the great storm arrives.”
Mang Lito became serious.
“How much time do we have?”
The voice answered:
“Three days.”
Mang Lito looked at the dark clouds forming far across the sea.
“Three days? That's not much time!”
He quickly folded the map and placed it inside his bag.
“Come on, my giant friend. We have a lighthouse to find.”
The giant crab clicked its claws.
Together, they began walking toward the old path leading to the other side of the village.
But neither of them noticed the man watching them from behind a large tree.
The stranger wore a dark coat and held a strange black compass.
He smiled.
“So, the Guardian has finally found the pearl.”
He looked toward Mang Lito and the giant crab.
“Let the hunt begin.”
Meanwhile, Mang Lito continued walking, unaware that a dangerous enemy was already following them.
And somewhere beyond the sea, the first signs of the great storm began to appear.
