Trisha

I learned early that love hurts. I endured a lifetime of it before I ever met him. I was supposed to be safe from the ghosts of my past...the foster home, the abusive ex... but they found me.

Kidnapped, terrified and alone, I was saved by the leader of a feared Motorcycle Club. Now, I’m hiding inside a rowdy, violent MC, expecting another nightmare. But this place... it feels like home.

And the man everyone fears? He looks at me like I’m something worth saving. I promised I’d never trust my heart again, but 'The Boogeyman' makes me want to break all my rules.

Rebel

I walk in the dark so my family can live in the light. My MC is built on loyalty, and the motto: 'Family first'. To my family, I am Rebel, but my victims know me as 'The Boogeyman'... a name earned in blood. I thought my life was perfect, until a betrayal left me holding a crying new born, while staring at my broken life.

Then, I laid my eyes on Trisha...

Rescuing her was easy; handling the way she made me feel was impossible. I planned to mould her into what I thought I needed. But she turned my world upside down, quickly becoming the air I need to breathe.

Now, 'The Boogeyman' is on the hunt for everyone who seeks to destroy the woman who stole his heart.

Chapter 1: They Found Me
Trisha “Why are you doing this to me?” I yell, as I try to break free. I had just left the daycare center I work at, when I ran into my ex-fiancé, Gary. He grabbed me and shoved me into the back of a van, where my horrid foster parents were waiting for me. I thought I was free, but moving three cities away clearly wasn't enough. I just started working at the daycare a week ago, after finishing my course in early childhood development. Somehow, I knew my happiness wouldn't last long. How does he always find me? The only place I used my real name is at work. I had no choice. So now, I find myself tied up in the back of a van, being smacked around by my b***h of a foster mother. I use the term ‘mother’ loosely. She is not fit to be anyone’s mother. All she and her husband cared about was the monthly checks they got for taking me in. The minute they stopped getting money for me, I ran as fast as I could. I ran straight into the arms of Gary Lopez. He was handsome, charming, and so damn sweet. He gave me everything I wanted, but little did I know it was just an act. The day we got engaged was also the first day he hit me. Getting away from him was hard, because he had men watching me when he was not with me. I only managed to get away because one of his men took pity on me. I will be forever grateful to him. He saved my life when he didn’t have to. God only knows what Gary had planned for me. It’s been over a year since he last caught up with me. I knew I shouldn't let my guard down, so now I am paying the price for trying to be happy. “What the f**k do you want, Jennifer?” I asked and spit her name with venom. She always wanted me to call her mom, but I refused. She never treated me like her child and the 'mom' thing was just for when the social worker stopped by. He was another i***t. When I tried to complain about the abuse or show him my bruises, Jennifer would step in. A blowjob and a f**k from Jennifer, and my social worker would forget everything I said. After the third time, I just stopped speaking to him. He was of no use to me anyway, only to my drug-addicted foster parents. So, I endured the beatings until I could make my escape. Other kids hated school, but for me, that was my only safe place. The one place I didn’t get abused. I didn’t have many friends, but the ones I had kept me safe. “You are going to help us out of our bind. I didn’t raise you for nothing. You owe me,” she answers. “I owe you nothing. You did nothing but make my life miserable. You and your useless husband,” I say. He kicks me in my stomach and spits on me. “Better watch your mouth, you little b***h. I owe you a beating for what you did to me,” he says, pulling down the neck of his t-shirt to show me the scar on his shoulder. “I had bad aim then, but you can be sure I won’t miss next time.” I answer and spit out the blood that gathered in my mouth. I hate the taste of blood, but I should be used to it by now. The scar he is referring to was when I stabbed him with a kitchen knife. It was the only thing I could reach the last time he tried to r**e me. I guess I was lucky. The s****l abuse only started when I was older. I always fought him off, or Jennifer would intervene. Not because she cared, only because she thought he would leave her for me. “You f*****g b***h!” he yells, kicking me again, and then grabbing me by my hair, but Jennifer stops him. “We need her to look presentable for the handover,” she says, and Henry nods and sits back down. “Where are you taking me?” I ask and they both laugh, but don’t answer. The car comes to an abrupt stop, causing me to slide to the side and bang my head. The two assholes laughed as they watched me squint in pain. What have I ever done that was so bad for me to be treated like this? I am a good person and I deserve to be treated with respect. But all I get from these people is pain and misery. The door opens and Gary grabs my feet and pulls me out. “Hey beautiful, did you miss me?” he asks as he licks the blood off the side of my face. I tremble at his touch, and try to get away. I do not want this man’s hands anywhere near me. “Why can’t you just leave me alone?” I ask, half sobbing. “You are mine, don’t forget that. But right now, I am in a bit of trouble and I need you to help me out of it. I will come back for you when the time is right, and then we can be together,” he says while he fondles my breasts. Sick f**k. “Just let me go, Gary. I don’t want this, and I don’t want you.” I answer and immediately regret it when he backhands me. I always stayed quiet and took the abuse. But I have had enough time to build my self-esteem. I can’t let him break me again. I tried to break free, and kneed him in his crotch. But my body aches so much already, I struggled to get away. He grabs me and hits me again a few times, and just before I lose consciousness, I hear Jennifer yelling at him to not kill me or the buyer will be pissed. Buyer? That was my last thought, until everything went black. I feel someone touch my face with something cold, so I try to open my eyes. Why am I in so much pain? My head hurts like a b***h. I lift my hand and touch my head, before I open my eyes. I look around and see that I am on a bed in a dark room. The only light in the room comes from a bathroom off to the side. I hear movement and water running, and then a woman comes into view. She has long blonde hair, and she is wearing sexy leather shorts with a white tank top and ankle boots. “Where am I?” I ask when she walks over to me. “Welcome back, you took quite a knock to the head, babe. Can you sit up?” she asks. I try to lift myself up slowly, and sit up against the headboard. “Please tell me who you are and where am I?” I ask and she smiles. It looks like a genuine smile and that puts me at ease a bit. “My name is Cookie and you are at the Chopper Demons Clubhouse. In our leader, Rebel’s room to be precise,” she says, and I gasp. “How did I end up in a motorcycle club?” I ask. I heard of this club. They are feared by everyone in this city. God what did Gary get me into? “Don’t worry, you are safe here for now. When Rebel gets back he will decide what to do with you,” Cookie says. “What does that mean?” I ask. “Don’t you know what happened to you?” she asks. “No, I have no idea how I even got here. All I remember is getting kidnapped by my ex and ending up in the back of a van with my evil foster parents. But the last thing I heard was them talking about a buyer. Is that what is going on? Did your leader buy me from Gary and Jennifer?” I ask, trying to move away from her. She looks at me in surprise and then whistles. “s**t girl, your own parents and your ex? That sucks. But in answer to your question, no. Rebel didn’t buy you, as you put it. He saved you from being trafficked. All I know is that the guys left after they heard chatter about some trafficking ring on the move. Rebel brought you here over an hour ago and asked me to take care of you,” she says. “Well, thank you Cookie. I am not used to anyone taking care of me. I appreciate it. My name is Trisha Harlow, by the way. Everyone just calls me Trish,” I say, and she smiles and gets up to get me some water. “You are welcome, Trish. I am the club’s nurse, so it’s kind of my job,” she says as she hands me the water. “Thank you. May I ask what happened to Gary and my foster parents?” “Sorry babe, I can’t answer that. I have no clue. When Rebel comes back he will fill you in,” she says. “Drink these painkillers and anti-inflammatory,” she says, and I gladly accept them. “Let’s get you something to eat before you take a shower. I will introduce you to some of the guys,” she says as she helps me get up. f**k, my stomach and side hurt from the kicks that Jennifer and Henry gave me. But my ankle also feels like it’s sprained. When did that even happen? Walking is proving a mission. But Cookie was so patient and kind while I limped along next to her. She helps me downstairs to what looks like a large lounge. There are men and women clad in mostly leather all around. The place looks pretty nice. It’s neat and looks more like a home than a clubhouse. Everyone looks at me when we enter, some in fascination, but some of the women are glaring. What did I do? I didn’t ask to be here, and I will gladly leave. Two guys walk over, and they are so huge and muscular, that I cower behind Cookie.
