Chapter 4Danger. I need to go over the wall more than I need to breath or eat—to see my guy and be near him—touch—kiss. The stress-pressure inside my chest and temples has increased since we left home, so much I could shout and scream and fizzle away until I’m nothing but dust. My whole being screams with need while the world calmly carries on. On the ride to the wall Lion seems the same as ever. He doesn’t say anything about my clenched fists or the light sweat on my brow and yet I’m positive he notices something is different. Inside my head the images of the guy are loud, visceral.
