Processing the news

Kylie POV

Pregnant...

"Wow.." was all I could squeeze out of my stunned brain. I knew we had been hoping to get this happy and welcomed news because it has been three months since we started trying, but it still shocked me hearing it now. I thought I'd know instantly if I was lucky enough to get pregnant, but I've not had any sickness apart from today or any other pregnancy symptoms at all. I honestly thought that I'd know, but I suppose I'm not that far along, and that's why I haven't picked up on it.

I have lost some weight because my appetite hasn't been great, but that's from stress and being super busy, trying to help our clan get back on track.

I feel Freddys arms wrap around me "we are going to be parents, s**t I'm going to be a daddy" he said as I wrapped my arms around him "you're going to be the best daddy" I smiled as we both got giddy "and you will be the best mummy" it felt like I was flying and I never wanted to come down, we were so lost in each other I forgot the Dr was even there until a quiet cough drew us back "this is great news, Thankyou Cal" Freddy stood up and shook Dr Cals hand. "It's wonderful news, congratulations" one thing niggled at me "I can't be far along because I haven't had any symptoms" I think out loud "so there must be something else causing me to feel dizzy and sick" I started to panic, what if it was something terrible that could harm our baby. "That was down to you being pregnant, your changing hormones levels causing your body to react in various ways. King Freddy explained that you have lost weight" and looked at me waiting for an explanation "my appetite hasn't been great, I think it's from my being busy with the clan" and they both frown at me "that will explain it then. The dizzying and nausea will be the result of low blood sugars, and you were dehydrated. Would you like me to do an ultrasound?" "What is it?" Freddy asks with a frown, I could tell he was unsure if it's safe causing me to smile "it will tell us how far along the pregnancy is and also if there are any problems" Dr Cal explained "ok, how long will it take" Freddy asked with excitement "come hold my hand" I ask reaching it out to him and he gladly takes it.

"It will take a few minutes" I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze Dr cal squirted the cold gel on my now exposed belly, I know I'll not be that far along but I can't wait to see our little one.

The monitor springs to life, and there on the screen is our little baby.

"Well, it seems you are further along than we thought," the Dr said, pressing a button on the machine. "How far along am I?" I'm amazed at the screen, little legs and arms wriggling. It's magical.

I was so happy to see Zak on shannons ultrasound, but it doesn't come close to seeing my own child.

I also loved meeting Zak when he was born and it was a sign of moving on for our clan but my hopes and excitement are out of this world knowing I'll have my own baby in my arms.

"Everything looks good, no concerns, and I'd say you are 5 months and a few days." What, wait, what..

"I can't be that far along. I've not got a bump, and I'd surely know if I'm that far along." I'm shocked that I could be that far along. 'We are having a pup' yipped Janey excitement rolling off her and I'd be the same if not for the worry something was wrong, wouldn't I be bigger if everything was OK "your weight loss is why you don't have a bump so we need to get you eating little and often" "could it have hurt the baby?" I ask placing my hand on my flat stomach and I can't stop the tears falling "shh baby it's ok, we will take good care of you" Freddy hugged me and rubbed my back gently "Queen Kylie, the baby is growing perfectly" his words instantly put me at ease "so what's the Drs orders" Freddy smiles excitement oozing from him "first would you like the gender" he asked and I nodded my head straight away "yes erm.." I look up at Freddy "if you want to too" I ask unsure if he'd want to know "of course, I'd love to know" he replied with wonder "ok" Dr Cal smiled and looked at the screen again.

"You're having a.." he paused while he kept moving the bit over my tummy, looking until finally "a Boy" he smiled and Freddy jumped around happy making me laugh as I wiped the gel off my tummy, I'd just finished when Freddy hugged me "I want to shout it from the rooftops" and I knew he would.

"Ok. Ok we can tell everyone soon, let's just wrap our heads around the news first and enjoy it just the 2 of us ok" I pleaded but he just gave me his look and smiled "anything for you my Queen" he peppered my face with kisses.

"You are free to leave but with strict rules.

1- Bed rest until you are eating and drinking enough

2- Take these pregnancy vitamin pills every day

3- No stress while you get back on your feet

4- no s*x until your weight is gained back and you have had another check up" the one rule to gutt me the most is the last one, Janey also growled at it "no s*x, no way that rule is not happening" I know I probably sound daft but I can never keep my hands off Freddy "baby it will be fine, we need to do this for our child" Freddy explained with a smile he knows as much as me, there's no way we will be able to stick to that but I just sulk hoping he will give in but he doesn't causing me to roll my eyes "fine" I agree reluctantly.

"Storm is excited, he can't wait to go on a run with Janey and celebrate our news" and that perks me back up, we love Storm "actually that stands as long as s*x does, Queen Kylie has to get her body to be strong enough to handle it" I can't hold Janeys growl back and doesn't sound like Storm agrees either. I mean that makes no sense at all we shift and go for a run most days with Storm "I shift most days, Janey loves running with Storm" I try to talk us out of that rule but it doesn't seem to be working "each time you shift it takes a toll on your body, especially when you're pregnant which, it would be totally fine normally but your body needs strength to get to where you need to be" 'I don't like that Idea at all but if we need to, we will' Janey sulks and I feel the same 'ok Janey, I'm sorry' 'me too' she replies sadly. "Ok now your drips done you can leave" Dr Cal smiles as he removes it from my arm and I'm happy to get out of here "thanks Dr Cal, come on baby" freddy says picking me up "I can walk silly" I laugh but he holds me tighter to him. Grabbing the tablets off Dr Cal, and we leave. "Oh, thank the god you're ok. What is wrong? is there anything I can get for you?" Nancy rambled causing me to smile "I'm fine" was all I could get out before Freddy speaks "she needs bed rest, would you get some water and fruit for her please Nancy and bring it to our room?" "Of course, " and we were running to our room. Well, Freddy was running. "I'm fine to walk my love," but he shakes his head and opens our door, walking to the bed and laying me on it. "I'm so happy, my sweet love, we are having a baby. Our family is growing and I can't wait" he lifts my top and starts kissing my belly, sparks spreading all over me but he stops and it's the last thing I want him to do, I want him to keep going and never stop, I wanted him to carry on and take me. Instead, he placed his face close to my belly and started talking softly. "My sweet boy, I love you already and can't wait to meet you.. oh, by the way, this is your daddy." he makes me laugh."I bet he already knows that gorgeous. " I giggle, but he shrugs his shoulders, "just in case," he chuckles. I'm on cloud nine. I've dreamed of being a mummy and I can't wait to meet him. He will be loved and surrounded by happiness.

I go to stand up. "Where are you going?" Freddy, stops me. Seriously "to the bathroom I have to brush my teeth, my mouth feels manky" but as I try to stand I go a little dizzy and sway "you need to be careful love" he frowns at me, picks me up and takes me to our bathroom "I would have been ok in a few minutes" I try to protest but he places my feet on the ground keeping one of his arms around me while I brush my teeth. "No matter what it is, tell me ok," he says, giving me a stern look through the mirror, but when I don't agree, he carries on "just until you're better.. please," and I can see the worry in his eyes, which sways me "ok just until I get better" at my words I can see the relief hit him. He looks happy that I've agreed with him, maybe because I rarely do. I mean, don't get me wrong. I think it's a little too much, but I can see how much it means to him. Plus, I'd never want to put more worry and stress on top of his kingly duties.

There's a knock on the door as my gorgeous mate is carrying me to our bed.

He opens the door to Nancy, who's stood with a tray of fruit, a pot of yoghurt, and a drink.

"I got a bit of everything." she stayed where she was until Freddy invited her in.

She is an amazing friend, but I think it's going to take a long while before she relaxes completely around Freddy. She always lowers her eyes and never treats freddy as anything but the king.

"Thank you, Nancy." he smiles and takes the tray from her. "Are you ok Ky?, is there anything else you need?" she asks worriedly "no that's more than fine, thanks. I'm good. I just need rest and food." I smiled, hoping to put her at ease.

I catch sight of Franky standing guard outside the bedroom door and roll my eyes.

"Franky, get your a*s in here," I say with a chuckle, and he turns to face us. "My Queen, I wanted to check and see how you were. Is there anything you need?" he says but not stepped a foot in our bedroom. "Thanks Frank, she is doing a lot better" Freddy answered "I'm on bed rest" I roll my eyes at him because anyone that knows me knows I love to interact with the kingdom and help where I can. "If it's needed, then it must be done." Franky smiles at me."Good news for you, you get to go and spend time with that gorgeous family of yours." he looks surprised at me, but I see the happiness in his eyes. "Are you sure?" he asks, but it also includes Freddy, who gives him a nod in agreement. "Thank you. Link me if you do need me, " and when I nod, yes, he turns and leaves.

I see Freddys eyes glaze over, and I know someone is mindlinking, causing him to frown.

"SHIT.. I'm sorry love, I need to go to the office.." I could tell he was torn about leaving and if I'm being honest I'd prefer him to stay so we can talk but I know if he's got to go it must be important "it's ok, you go do what you need to, I'll stay here I promise.. maybe take me the toilet before you leave, though. " I smile, but I knew he didn't feel any better about leaving.

"What are your plans today Nancy, we could have a chill, some girly time" I ask hoping she says yes but her face gives her away before she answers "I'd love that but I'm on kitchen duty in about 15minutes getting food ready for lunch" she looks gutted bless her "it's ok I'll get someone to cover your job today. Kylie really does need to stay in bed, and I'd feel better knowing she has company," Freddy says as Nancy agrees. These two worry too much.

Freddy takes me for a quick toilet run. He really is the kindest person I know. he turns around while I pee, but he has seen every inch of me, so him seeing me pee makes no difference to me.

"Don't worry, Nancy is here if I need anything and I'll link you if I need you ok" I talk while washing my hands but he doesn't want to leave "maybe I should get-" "no our clan needs us and if I'm out of commission for a while then it's left to you my love, I'm safe here so don't worry" I cut him off but he's hesitating near the door "Nancy, she is not to leave this bed at all" he says to her before looking at me "please eat and drink something it's important" he says seriously to me "I will, I promise" and he eventually walks out. 'I love you I'll be as quick as I can' he linked me making me smile 'I love you too, I'm so happy, we will celebrate later' I reply but I know he will feel my happiness through our bond as I do his.

"Ok, what's first?" I ask Nancy with a smile. "Food and drink first, and I can ask for some pampering stuff to be brought up." That sounds good. I love a good pamper.

I've eaten a little of everything, and it all tasted amazing. Grapes, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon and apple, they all tasted so fresh but as soon as I popped a spoonful of yoghurt in my mouth my stomach turned and I felt like I was going to be sick. I put it down and took deep breaths, trying to settle my stomach.

Yoghurt was a big NO NO.

the rest of the day went by in a blur of face masks, moisturisers, and massages.
