So today has been eventful and not how I thought it would go at all. It has been a roller coaster of emotions.

I'm still reeling from our fantastic news but also worried about Kylie. I absolutely hated leaving her, and I wouldn't have if it wasn't necessary, but our people have been through enough without any other incidents. I also knew Kylie would be ok with Nancy. They have become really good friends.

I'm sad to learn that another clan is being treated the same way as we were, but it's my duty to help them. I am the official king so it's my duty to help all our people and as much as it has taken time to wrap my head around it, I want to help them, infact I want to help anyone that needs it including other species.

Achlys spent years cutting us off from everyone else, and I'm going to do what I can to bridge us back together.

I'm sat in my office with the family, and I could see how they were treated just from their appearance. I know what I must do quickly, but my mind goes straight to my beautiful mate and unborn child 'Beautiful, how are you feeling?' I link Kylie worried she might need me. As soon as I get sorted here, I'll be going straight back to her. 'I'm good, just having a pamper with Nancy. Is everything ok on your end?' she asks 'yeah all is good, just sorting a few things out, but I'll fill you in when I come up.' I explain looking at the family as they eat and drink.

They finished and had the blood last. They already look so much better so now we are going to have to talk. 'Let me know if you need me baby' 'I always need you' she drives me crazy 'me too' Storm growls in frustration 'and I do you' was all I could groan, 'love you' she replies with a giggle and cuts our link. She knows what she is doing.

I give myself a few minutes to regain myself before I start talking.

"How are you all feeling now?" I ask, but they won't look at me in the eyes. Instead, they keep their heads down. "Thankyou my king" the dad said holding his mates hand "you're all welcome, there's a few things I need to ask, I'm just waiting for Jack" they didn't respond just nodded. I could see how anxious and exhausted they were. "What's your names" I ask, and the dad speaks again. "My name is Dan, my mate Kadie, our daughter Cleo and our sons Ace an.." his mates sobs cut him off. Sons.. so where's his other son? "Where is your other son?" I frown. "Our son James was thrown in the dungeons just before we fled. We came hoping to find a safe place and help to rescue him, rescue them all," but I've got more questions from his answer. The knock on the door grabs my attention, "Come in," and he comes in and stands on my right. He is my second in command. "Jack, this is Dan and his family. They need our help" he gives them a small smile and nod "which clan are you from and can you tell us what has been happening" Jack asks he is a great friend, something I thought I'd never have "our clan leader is Lenny. He likes everyone to call him master Lenny. He's a cruel and horrid man who was appointed our leader by Achlys. He takes what he wants when he wants, our clan is the redclaw Clan to the west and they need help" well he sounds as delusional as Achlys and it doesn't surprise me if Achlys put him in charge. "We will definitely help, I understand how traumatic it is to have the wrong leader, especially a cruel one. I'm wondering why you ran now and why your son is locked away, though. " it's something that needs asking.

"Lenny is vile. He has ruled for the last 6 years, and our clan has deteriorated since. First, we held strong, but he ended up bringing in muscle morons to beat us down. Our people are suffering more and more and especially since word got to Lenny about Achlys death. Our son is one of the clan warriors and relayed back to us about Lennys plans. He found out that his plans involved.." But he's finding it hard to say whatever it is until his mate gave him a look and a gentle squeeze of his hand. "He plans to overthrow our king. He wants the kingdom for himself." his words instantly enrage me and Storm. Releasing a wall shaking growl, "he will die," we growl out. "What is it, my love' shit.. Kylie can obviously feel our rage through our bond. I take deep breaths, trying to calm down. Only when we're calm enough do I answer 'I will explain soon love, everything is fine so don't worry' I can feel her hesitation 'promise' she asks 'I promise gorgeous' I reply and she agrees and cuts the link "carry on please" I ask but they are all shaking. s**t. s**t. s**t.

"We are not angry with you, just pissed at the asshole," I explain, giving Dan a nod to carry on. I can see the confusion in his face, but he doesn't voice it. "we want no part into going to war with our own people. None of us are, but when we found out that Lenny had intentions of force mating with Cleo, we decided that we would not stand by. James was found sneaking out the warriors building so we could leave. We came for help for all of us." ok, so now we know what we are facing. we need the information on how, when, and where.

"Ok, we will get to organising help. We will need to know the clan inside out, who and how many loyals he has, and how we can do it without innocents getting hurt." They all looked releived. "Thank you so much, my king," Dan said with hope screaming from his eyes.

"Jack, can you show them to a spare room and provide spare clothes to freshen up?" Jack nodded ok, "of course," and walked to the door. "Thank you. Dan, can you stay behind so we can chat for a moment?" but his family cling to him making it hard to watch "you are welcome to wait outside the office, it will only take a few minutes" and they reluctantly let go and leave the office "I didn't want to talk about certain things infront of your kids" I explain as he is looking at me wearily but nods at me to carry on "how did you find out about Cleo" it's been bugging me since he mentioned it. "He's always been slimy when it comes to Cleo. I was our leader Cobys second in command, so he's always commented on how strong his offspring would be mated to her. Is he f**k going near my daughter I'll kill him first" he hissed out fuming. "She turns 18years old in 2 months and he was making plans to take her, imprison her and break her so he can force mate her. We took off as soon as we found out" ok I totally understand I'd be pissed too.

"James was always listening for any information, and he overheard Lenny boasting to his men about Cleo." He's fuming and rightly so.

We are definitely taking him down..
