Chapter 8

    Dante's POV

    Opening my eyes, I turn to look at the clock on the night stand. Realizing I only slept for 2 hours, my stomach starts to rumble. Guess it's been awhile since I ate. I get out of bed and make my way to my door. As I open the door and walk out into the hallway, I hear some commotion going on down the hall. 

    Curiosity getting the better of me, I walk toward the noise. As I get closer I could smell two separate scents. The mouth watering scent of honeysuckle and peaches, then there is a scent of Jasmine and coconut. As I neared the door I could hear they were playing a game of sort. It sounds like shooting and military talking. It could be Call of Duty or some military shooter game on the console.

"You b***h, you were suppose to have my back. You got me killed, where the hell were you Kat?" I heard the sweet sound of Rain's voice yell at someone named Kat.

"I'm sorry I was looking on the floor above for someone or loot. I thought it was clear down there. f**k, that fucker just came up here and killed my ass. I figured with your hot ass brother in the military, you would be better at this game then that," she said with a small chuckle.

    I heard a growl, "Don't even think about Dante." I heard Rain say with anger. 

I couldn't help the smile that graced my lips with my mate getting a bit possessive over me

"Geeze what has your panties in a twist?" the other girl said. "Its wade you i***t, and nothing I just don't want you getting into bed with him. He is a male w***e from what I have heard, and I don't need my best friend to be another notch on his belt." She said in a smaller tone.

My heart sank at her words, and I couldn't help but to regret my past and not waiting on my mate. I feel now like she could reject me for my past alone. Unable to hear anymore, I walk away in shame. I find my way to the kitchen, looking through the fridge but find nothing for my appetite has gone.

    It's almost as I am on auto pilot as I find myself in front of my bedroom door. Twisting the handle and pushing the door, I walk in. As I am closing the door, it stops. Looking up I see Zilly looking at me with a confused look.

"Do you want to talk about it?" she ask almost pleading in her eyes for me to let her in

With no words I open the door back up and wave for her to come in.

"Dante I am here for you as I always have been, please tell me what has you so down." she says as she places both hands on my shoulders so I am looking at her, cause she is shorter then I.

Deciding it is time I open up, and maybe to even get some advice on what to do next. I grab one of her hands from my shoulder and lead her to the sitting area in my room. I sit her on the chair and sit opposite her. 

Placing my hands on her, I give her a pleading look. "Please don't say anything until I am done, then I need your advice." She looks at me and shakes her head in an ok manner, I just smile.

"Ok here goes nothing. Ever since I got home I have been on edge, Even f*****g Jessica it was different and I have been f*****g her for at least a year now." She grimced at that and waved her hand for me to move on from that part. I chuckled and obliged

    "Any ways, when we got closer to the boarder of Atlantis we started to get anxious. When we changed back to our human form, I was naked of course cause I left my cloths back at my home. Anyway as I was in human form and before I was able to put my shorts on Rain walked out the door and saw myself naked. She saw me and I could smell her arousal, and it made me rock hard. I am highly confident she is my mate."

Zilly's eyes showed something I could not recognize and also a bit of shock. I continued when I realize she was not going interrupt.

"I went in took a shower and well lets just say I ran into Grams rummaging around in my closet. Lets just put it this way grams got a good look at the same think Rain did, and I got an ear full." At that we both busted out laughing.

    After we got over out moment I continued. "I took a nap and when I woke I was heading to the kitchen to get something to eat when I smelled her sweet scent and followed it. I got to her door and heard her talking to some other female." 

With a deep sigh I went to continue, noticing my mood change she squeezed my hands for support.

"I wasn't there to spy, I swear but I over heard her talking anyways. Her friend called me hot and at first she growled the most sweet sound. I though she might be marking her territory but then she told the other girl that she just doesn't want her to be another notch on my belt. She also said that I was a male w***e and I can't deny her clams."

I said that last part and I lay my head in shame and only a whisper came from my mouth.

At this I felt a hand on my chin lifting it up and my hand being squeezed. I look in Zilly's bright green eyes and saw understanding.

"Dante, I'm not sure what to say." I slumped at that. "But I will say this, give it time. She probably does not know that you are mates and she is probably confused by what she is feeling. She will not know that you are her mate until she is 18, and that is in a couple of days." 

"Zilly you are missing one of the points here, she is my sister. How is she my mate and why?"

She smiles and shakes her head, "Yes she is your adopted sister not blood. You were however not around most of her life, so I don't believe you have that sibling bond like most would have." 

"It wasn't by choice that I wasn't around, Selene kept me busy with training and test." I sit up straight and look at Zilly. "Do you think Selene did this on purpose, that she kept me away cause she knew. What am I saying of course she knew, she is the one that puts the mates together. Why didn't she tell me, and why would she do this, Rain is my sister for goddess sake."

At this point I am up and pacing about, I can't figure out why Selene would do this to me. Does she think this is some kind of joke, this is my life here. I am a Dova of the new fae Dragons, I can't be seen as someone who sleeps with my sister. I have to do something, I can't let the word get out, this will ruin me.

"Zilly I need you to do something for me, I need you to use your magic."

She tilts her head with confusion, "What is it that you want me to do?"

"I need you to suppress the mate bond between Rain and I.
