Ever Been Mine

Prologue

Inayos ni Julie ang kanyang make-up at tiningnan ang sarili sa full length mirror na nandoon sa kanyang hotel suite.

She was wearing a black evening gown with a plunging neckline, definitely showing her bust.

Ngumisi siya at bahagyang nag retouch ng kanyang lipstick.

She once again smiled at the mirror before finally being content as she walked down to the hotel's function hall.

Madaming tao na ang naroon. Mga tao na kakilala din niya. After all, it was the anniversary party of their company.

"Jules!" Tawag sa kanya ng kanyang pinsan na si Andre. Ito ang tumatayong CFO ng kanilang kompanya sa ngayon.

"Hey Andre." Ani Julie at bumeso dito.

Andre then looked at her. "Wala pa siya Jules."

Julie smirked. "Good. I'll stay out of his sight first."

Nakihalubilo na rin si Julie sa mga tao na nandoon.

"Julie Anne! Nakabalik ka na pala!"

Puro ganun ang bungad ng mga ito and she would just smile in answer. Matagal din ang 5 years ah.

She was mingling with some guests, drinking a glass of champagne when she heard Andre speaking to the microphone.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, It's wondrous to see all of you join the anniversary of the San Jose-Magalona Incorporation."

Nagpalakapakan ang mga tao at pinatuloy ni Andre ang pagsasalita.

"And so now, to welcome us all, I would like to welcome on stage, our CEO, Mr. Elmo Moses Magalona!"

Julie stayed still in her spot. Medyo sa likuran at sa gilid na kasi siya ngayon nakapwesto.

She gazed up at Elmo as he took his place at the podium. He clapped Andre's back first before speaking into the mic. "I'll make this quick, congrats everyone! This is for us for all that we've done to achieve this, to stay this long, treat yourselves! This is for you! To San Jose-Magalona! And don't forget...enjoy the night!"

"Hear hear!" They all toasted their glasses and drank merrily.

Julie stayed in her place as she watched Elmo talking with a couple of investors.

She drank some wine to herself when it was at that moment that Elmo lifted his head and looked straight at her.

He looked shocked, so to speak.

Julie smirked, loving that look on his face before she quickly walked away.

She excused herself around the large number of people around her.

Lumingon siya at nakitang halos itulak ni Elmo ang mga tao palayo habang sinusundan siya.

Natatawang binilisan niya ang paglakad hanggang sa nakaabot na siya sa pasilyo ng hotel. Makapahinga na nga. Lumingon muli siya at hindi na nakita kung nasaan si Elmo. Marahil ay nawala sa dami ng tao.

She made her way to the elevators and stepped inside.

Mabilis niyang pinindot ang floor ng kanyang kwarto. She looked up at the numbers on the floor indicator as the doors slowly closed.

Ting!

Magsasara na sana ang mga pintuan nang may humarang na kamay.

Napatalon pabalik si Julie.

It was Elmo.

There was blank expression on his face as he looked at her.

"Hello Manski." She greeted with a sly smile as the elevator doors closed behind Elmo.

Walang sali-salita na lumapit sa kanya ang lalaki bago hapitin ang kanyang bewang at marahas siyang hinalikan.

"Hmm..." Ungol ni Julie at inikot din ang braso sa batok ng lalaki. Oo nagulat siya, pero masarap eh.

Lumaban siya sa halik nito hanggang sa naramdaman niya isinandal siya nito sa dingding ng elevator at patuloy na hinalikan.

They finally pulled away from each other when they felt like they had no more air to breathe. Hinihingal na tiningnan nila ang isa't isa habang hindi pa rin naglalayo ang mga muhka.

"Good to see you again..." Elmo smirked, his lips a breath away from hers. "...Mrs. Magalona."
