“Mysterio!” A familiar voice yelled and I turned around to see Amanda strutting towards me. “You made it..”
“Of course.” I responded, holding my hand out for a handshake instead of the hug she tried to initiate.
“I’m sure you’ve met my wife, Mia..” I introduced and Mia put on a broad smile, crossing her arm with mine.
“Nice to meet you…?”
“Amanda..” I answered.
“Amanda. Nice to meet you Amanda, lovely home you’ve got here.” Mia sneered.
“You’re welcome, please do enjoy yourself and don’t hesitate to call when you need something.” Amanda responded stiffly before walking away.
Mia and I walked hand-in-hand, nodding and smiling at whoever greeted us until my neck grew sore.
“I’ll get us some drinks, you have fun. Don’t talk too much.” I ordered and left.
