me passes really fast when you're happy, indeed. It has been two weeks since Dashiel and I became official and it has been so blissful. Ganun pala ang pakiramdam ng in love, sobrang sarap. Para akong nakalutang sa mga ulap. Parang ang sarap bigla mabuhay... "Tomorrow's your first day at school again," Dashiel whispered to me. We were in their garden, sneaking out, afraid that we might get caught. "Yeah..." I answered as I looked up to him. Bakit ba kasi ang tangkad-tangkad n'ya masyado? Hindi ko tuloy siya mahalikan ng biglaan. I pouted. "Can I meet you at school tomorrow?" He asked. Immediately, I nodded. "Of course! Where shall we meet?" I asked, excited at the thought of seeing him wearing his school uniform-not that I haven't seen him wear one, but it's different this time! "You? Where do you want to go?" He asked, tacking some hair strands behind my ear. I shrugged. "I'm not sure. I'm still not familiar with the school's vicinity." I said. He pinched my nose. "I'll just meet you at the soccer field at lunch," he said. I nodded happily. "Okay! I'm excited!" I exclaimed. He laughed because of that. "You're excited?" I nodded and reached for his nape. "I'm excited to see you in your uniform," I said. "You have seen me wearing one before," he said, putting his hands on my hips and making circles there using his thumb. I shook my head. "Not in school. I haven't seen you walking on the school grounds," I said. "I don't roam around the school, baby. Besides, my building is separated from yours." He said. I pouted. "We always swing by the field and we always see some college students hanging out there, but never seen you once there," I said. "We?" He asked, arching his brow. I rolled my eyes. "Your siblings; Dan and Dione, and Keith as well." I answered. "I see," he said, biting his lower lip. "Can I kiss you?" He then asked. Smiling, I pulled him down to me and crashed my lips to him. "I love you..." I said. "I love you more," he replied, kissing me deeper, different from the kisses we have shared before. The next day came, I was so excited to come back to school with the thought of seeing Dashiel there. I even asked our cook to prepare his favorite food. We will meet at lunch, we will have a lunch date at the school soccer field! "Para ka namang kinder na ngayon lang makakapasok sa school," Papa Ae commented. Napanguso naman ako. "Pa, I've been gone for weeks, syempre na-miss ko ring makakita ng ibang tao. Na-umay na kaya ako sa mukha ni Dan nung nag stay ako sa kanila," sagot ko. "Parang 'di naman. Mukha ngang enjoy na enjoy ka sa stay mo sa kanila. I saw how gloomy you were nang sinundo kita para iuwi rito." Sabi naman n'ya. "Because you came when we were having fun playing Dan's PS5!" I reasoned out. "Do you know how hard we convinced him to let us play his PS5? That was like, one out of hundred chances we could have," I added. That's kind of true. Totoo napilit namin si Dan na ipalaro sa amin ang PS5 n'ya, but the real reason, of course, Dashiel was playing with us; that's another one chance out of hundred. I still can't help but laugh whenever I remember the facial expression of his siblings and Kieth. They were 'effin shocked! Papa Ae didn't comment more, we just waited until my packed lunch was ready and after that, he drove me to school. Ngiting-ngiti ako habang naglalakad sa hallway ng building namin, phone at my hand. [Are you at school already?] Dashiel's text message. [Just arrived. You?] I replied. [Dorm. I just swing by to get my books.] [I see. Did you eat your breakfast?] I asked. Another thing I learned from him in my week's stay in their house; Dashiel is not fond of eating breakfast. I'm not wondering why he's thin. [I ate po. Don't worry, okay? How about you?] He asked. [I did. I'm excited for later!] [You're always excited to see me.] He teased me. I rolled my eyes. Asus. Akala mo siya hindi. Hmp! [Bakit ikaw ba, hindi?] I asked instead. [Of course, I'm excited as well. You know that I always miss you, baby.] He replied. And I can't help but smile more. God. I was all smiles until I reached my classroom. Harriet, I don't care about her. I honestly forgot about them. "Alexa!" Lucia squealed. "God, Lucia. Get a hold of yourself," I told her. Shyly, she released me but she still had that puppy look on her face. "Na-miss kita ng sobra!" She said. I just shook my head and walked to my chair. "How have you been when I was not around?" I asked. If I have one thing that I kept reminded of during my homeschooled weeks, it was her. I was worried that since I was away, those bitches bully her. Lucia smiled widely. "Ayos lang. Sinasama ako palagi nila Master," she answered dreamily. I creased my brow. "Don't ever fall in love with Dan. He's already reserved." I said. Her eyes widened as she waved her hands, signaling me that I was mistaken. "Hindi no! Saka, alam ko naman 'yun. Pansin ko naman 'yung mga tingin n'ya kay Keith." Sabi n'ya. "You better be, Lucia. You're annoying but I already consider you as one of my friends. And I hate being in a situation where I need to choose between two important friends," I said. And this girl blushes like I said something fluttering enough. "Wow..." She uttered, teary. "What the hell? Bakit ka umiiyak?" I asked, a bit worried and hysterical. She shook her head. "Sorry. Ngayon ko lang kasi narinig ang ganyan; na importanteng kaibigan ako." Ani n'ya. "I thought you had friends?" She nodded. "Ako lang naman kasi ang nag co-consider na friends ko sila, pero sila...ewan ko. Parang hindi," ani n'ya. For a moment, I felt sad for her but I chose to shake that away. "Then, stop hanging out with them. You should not force yourself to fit into something you're not even considering in the first place." I said. Lucia pouted and shrugged. Napairap naman ako. This stubborn girl. Still, I didn't bother. I couldn't make myself bothered because I can't keep on thinking of what is about to happen at lunch. And when lunch came, I immediately stood from my seat, grabbed my bag and got ready to take off. But then, Lucia stood in front of me even before I could step out our classroom door. "Nagmamadali ka?" She asked. I almost rolled my eyes. "Yeah. I need to run some errands," I answered. "Errands? Pero lunch na?" Sabi naman n'ya. "I know but this is important. Just tell our friends that I will see you all at gym class," I told her before storming out, giving her no chance to speak more. I was half running-half walking my way to the field after receiving a text from Dashiel, saying that he's already there, waiting for me. And when I see him there, sitting at the top of the benches, my heart can't help but skip a wildly beat. God. Get a hold of yourself, Maria Alexandria! Boyfriend mo na 'yan, ano ba?! I checked myself before approaching him, making sure that I won't look haggard from the movements I did on my way to here. "Hi," I greeted him, I was a bench away from him. A smile curved on his lips the moment he saw me, he even stretched his arms open for me, as if asking for a hug. Shyly, I stepped closer and stood just in front of him. He immediately pouted. "We're at school grounds, Dash. Everyone will see us," I told him. He pouted more. "I miss you," he said. God, this guy! "But we just saw each other yesterday," I said. "Today is different, baby. I told you, I will always miss you." He said. And again, the butterflies in my stomach flutter. "Let's just eat. Gutom lang 'yan," I said instead. Pouting even more, he nodded. "Okay. Wait for me here, I'll just buy us food," sabi n'ya pero agad ko s'yang pinigilan tapos ay ipinakita ang dala-dala kong maliit na bag na pinaglagyan ko ng packed lunch namin. "Got it covered," I said in a boastful way. And gosh, my boyfriend just smirked while shaking his head. "Baby, can you please let me do these things for you? You always do it before me," ani n'ya. Ako naman ang napanguso. "What's wrong with it? 'Di ba, babae naman talaga dapat ang nag pe-prepare ng food?" I asked innocently. "You don't have to do things like this, baby. Let me. Leave it to me," he said, tapping the space beside him. Shrugging, I sat beside him and this guy immediately put his arm at my back to pull me closer to him. My eyes widened as I looked around us. "Dashiel! They will see us." I told him. "So, what? Are you bothered?" He asked. I don't know how I will tell him but I nodded slowly and his arm instantly fell off from my waist. "We're keeping it lowkey, remember? Until we tell our family..." I said. Dashiel sighed and smiled a bit. "I remember. I'm sorry," he said, moving away from me. We are not half-meter away. "You're too distant, baby." I said. Dashiel's eyes widened and his mouth a jar. I arched my brows and motioned him to move closer. "Come a bit closer," I said. "You call me baby," he said instead, still not moving. I nodded. "Yeah. Because you're my baby, right?" I said. "You're making so happy, baby." Sagot naman n'ya. I creased my brow. Pinagsasasabi nito? I mentally shook my head. I took out the food containers inside the bag and put it in front of us. Dashiel wanted to do it but I told him to let me and just wait until I'm done. He did. He was just watching me with a mischievous smile on his face as I served our food. And his smile grew wider after seeing the food I brought. "I asked Nana to cook your favorites." I said, handing him out the spoon and fork. "Thank you," he said, biting his lip. "Why do you keep on smiling?" I couldn't help but ask. He shook his head. "Nothing. I'm just happy, baby." He answered. "You're weird." I commented. And seeing him this happy kind of weirded me out. I didn't expect he was capable of looking like this; looking happy and worry less. "Kumain na nga lang tayo. We only have an hour before our classes start again. I want to spend it well with you," I said. But this guy have different idea that shook my beliefs about. "Let's cut classes and go out on a date instead?" He said.
