I was disappointed. I know there's nothing I should feel disappointed about and instead, I should feel embarrassed. Embarrassed that I was forcing myself to a guy. Fuck. I don't know what got to me but one thing is for sure, I will never drink any alcoholic drinks when Dashiel is around. I don't want to act crazy again in front of him; me being drunk will be my own death. I will die in disappointment and embarrassment. It was already a week since that happened and since then, I was trying to avoid him. I still send text messages to him, I reply to his texts but I always refuse to meet him. My hurt ego still can't face him. Damn. I really sounded desperate. "You're going to play?" Keith asked me. I was wearing our type c uniform. I nodded. "Yeah," I answered shortly. She shrugged. "Alright. I will just change. I want to play too," she said. She was wearing type b. I just shook my head and proceeded to warm up. This will be my first game again after being on the bench for a few weeks. And with my emotion being so messed up, smashing something would at least help to lift some weight. "I can still remember what you did. Don't ever think that I will forget that just because I let you have some peace the past few weeks," Harriet spoke behind me. I glanced at her, arching my brow. "Oh, I have totally forgotten about that. It wasn't relevant..." I said, shrugging. I saw how she fisted her hands but I didn't budge. I don't care about her. I already have my own problems to even bother dealing with her childishness. "What did you say?" She asked, gritting her teeth. I faced her and rolled my eyes in front of her. "Grow up, miss. We ain't in elementary anymore to fight over petty things. You should have known better by now that there are better things to do than bullying someone; than acting almighty and crazy over childish things," I said. "How dare you preach to me!" She said angrily. I sighed and stared at her lazily. "Stop acting like a queen when we are all equal here. And if you are really obsessed with that damn title then, build your own school," I said. I saw how anger enveloped in her but I just stood in front of her, stared at her, bored. I honestly don't understand what her problem is with me. I know I did something to her but she already had her revenge; she injured me more than I caused her. Parang tanga lang. "You b***h!" She yelled, catching everyone's attention. I sighed again. God. "What's happening here?" Dan suddenly spoke behind me, his both hands are inside his jogging pants' pocket. I shrugged. "It's nothing," I said. Dan arched his brow. "I heard her calling you b***h," he said, looking at me before turning to Harriet. "What the hell is your problem again?" He asked her. I rolled my eyes and tapped him on his stomach. "Don't be noisy, Dandrev." "Nah. I won't let this slide anymore. I want to clarify now what her problem is that she kept on bothering you," Dan answered. "Gay," Keith commented on the side. Dan smirked. "You know I'm not," he said. I shook my head. "Oh, please. Stop flirting in front of me." I said. Keith rolled her eyes while Dan chuckled. I thought he was done with Harriet but he turned to her again. "This is the last time you will mess up with her, Harriet. Next time and I hear something like this again, I swear, you will see what you are looking for," he said before turning his back, dropping his both arms around Keith's and my shoulder, dragging us out of the scene. Lucia was clapping her hands as we approached her. She was even smiling so wide. "You looked so cool back there, master!" She said. And Dan, being so narcissistic, poses like he's like an idiot. He put his hand below his chin while his fingers were making a check sign. "I told you, I got that covered," he said. Keith snorted. "You should have done that long ago instead." Dan shrugged. "It was fun watching them fight." He answered. My hand automatically flew to his back. He flinched in pain. "What the hell, Alexa!" He squealed. I rolled my eyes and kicked his leg as well. "That's what you get for being an asshole!" I said, grabbing his hair and pulling it down. Dan looked at Keith to ask for rescue but the latter instead rolled her eyes. "Serves you right," Keith commented with a shrug. Dan's mouth hung open from what he heard and I took that to kick him on his leg again. "Let's go," I then said, grabbing Keith's and Lucia's arm, we walked away from him. Our afternoon classes ended soon. I didn't even notice that we were already down to our last subject not until Lucia stood beside with her backpack on her shoulder. "You're spacing out a lot lately. Do you have a problem? I can listen," she said. That made me laugh a bit but I shook my head. "It's nothing," I answered. "That must be something really disturbing that you were so bothered," she said. "I said it was nothing," I said. She shrugged. "Okay. If you say so," she said. I didn't comment on that anymore nor did she. We just walked side by side until we reached our locker room. After putting our things inside our own lockers, we headed straight to the parking lot. I was back riding with Dionne's service since we got back after my birthday party. I took out my phone to send a message to them, asking where they were parked. But I was greeted by Dashiel's text message. [Baby, stop avoiding me please.] His message. [I'm not avoiding you.] I replied. I exited his message and was about to type a text for Dionne when a car pulled over in front of me. The car's window rolled down and a serious Dashiel Zyron was looking at me. "Hop in," he said. Immediately, I shook my head. "I'm riding with your siblings," I said, trying to smile. Dashiel's brows furrowed and I saw how his jaw clenched. "They already went home," he said. "Huh?" I responded. I looked at my phone and was about to confirm it when he snatched my phone. "Get in, Maria Alexandria." He repeated authoritatively. I didn't move. I didn't know what I would do. But I was more stoned in my spot when he went out of his car, grabbed my arm and led me until I was inside his car; he even put my seatbelt on! Dammit, Dashiel Zyron! "They saw us," I said, looking around the parking lot as I started to panic. But this guy only said, "I don't care." My mouth hangs open. "What?" I asked, wanting to be sure if I heard it correctly. But he chose to stay quiet until we reached the parking lot of his apartment. He got out of his car immediately and jogged to my side and opened the door for me. He even removed my seatbelt before dragging me inside his apartment—which I'd like to call it because it was against my will to be here, I don't even want to see him now—and let me sit on his bed. He then pulled his computer chair in front of me. He sat there and held both of my knees. "Now, what's your problem, baby? Care to share it with me?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nothing," I denied. Duh! I won't embarrass myself in front of him anymore. I sighed. "You won't act indifferent if it's nothing. Baby, you have been avoiding me for a week now. What do you want me to think about that, huh?" "I'm just busy," I reasoned. "You always make time for me even when you're busy." He said. I rolled my eyes. I was that crazy for you, damned ass! "Can't I change?" I fired. "Why would you change?" He asked. I shrugged. "I just realized that I was being so clingy and I think that's inappropriate," I said. Dashiel's brows furrowed as he reached for my hands. "I don't remember complaining about that, Dri. I love you being so clingy to me." He said. And dammit! I can feel how my face heated. "Still, it's inappropriate," I insisted. He sighed again. "Is this about what happened on your birthday?" He said. Automatically, I glared at him. God, why does he have to bring that up? I was disappointed that he rejected me but now, I feel embarrassed hearing this from him. "I don't want to talk about that," I said, rolling my eyes again. "So, that was your problem?" He said. "No! I don't have a problem. Don't put words in my mouth," I said. "Baby... We can't fix this with that attitude," he said. I thought I was just getting annoyed, but now, I'm sure that I am mad. "So, is it my fault now?" I said then, stood. "I'm going home now," I added. But even before I could take a step, he immediately pulled me and I landed on his lap. His arms automatically wrapped around my waist. "I miss you, baby. I don't want you mad at me. Please, let's fix this," he said. And just like that, my anger melted. Fuck. I was really this crazy for him that I always gave in to this easily. Instead of saying that he was already forgiven—from the sin he wasn't aware of—I just snuggled on his neck. His arms wrapped tighter on my waist. "Baby..." He called out after a while of hugging each other. "Hmm?" "Can you promise me that if we have a problem, we will talk it out until we figure what we will do about it?" he asked, kissing the top of my head. I nodded. "Okay. I'm sorry," I said, admitting that I was really wrong for acting like a brat. "It's alright, baby. Just please don't avoid me like this," he answered. "I almost went crazy thinking what went wrong," headed. "Stop being exaggerated, Dashiel." I said, moving away to see his face. He arched his brow. "You think I'm exaggerating it?" He asked. "Baby, you were avoiding me and your replies to my messages were so cold. How do you think I will react to that?" he asked then. I shrugged. "At least, I replied." "But you were so cold," he said again. "I thought I'm going to lose you," he added. Not wanting to show him how his words make my stomach turn, I snorted. "Overreacting," I said. "You can't blame me. I love you so much that I'm scared to lose you," he said. I squinted my eyes. "But you rejected me," I can't help but say. Dashiel's mouth hangs open. I arched my brow. "Never mind. I don't want to hear whatever you wanna say," I said abruptly. His arms left my waist and cupped my face. "Baby, you were asking for s*x! What do you think I will do when my drunk girlfriend asks me that?" he said. I pouted. "You should grab it," I said. Dashiel shook his head. I could almost hear him say unbelievable but of course, he won't say that. Instead, he kissed me on the forehead and said, "You are really something, Maria Alexandria. You are making me crazier." I smirked and said, "You should be proud that I'm your girlfriend then." He nodded. "I'm proud. Really proud that you are mine," he said and kissed me on my lips. I wrapped my arms around his shoulder and back of his head, pulling him closer to me. "And baby, you will be the death of me," he added between our kisses. I smirked. I stood and he immediately held me, afraid that I would leave. "I won't go anywhere," I said, sitting astride him. I was riding him. I brought my arms around his head again, grabbing on his hair. I grinded and he immediately moaned. "I won't force you to do me, baby. But I will show you what it feels like to do me," I said shamelessly. Sometimes, I wonder how I can be so vulgar. I never thought I could say things like this. But maybe it is because it was Dashiel. And with him, I am always shameless and straightforward. With Dashiel, I can always be me without inhibitions and pretending. With this man, I can always be true to myself and I can be me. And I love how he is making me love that side of myself that I always try to hide to everyone. That part of me that kept discreet.
