While attending her brother’s wedding, freelance photographer Janet Montgomery finds herself once again fruitlessly vying for her father’s love.

Driving back to her hotel after an awkward goodbye, she meets the architect Neil Porter. Soon, a chain of events draws them together, and Janet begins to wonder if the twenty-three years between them is too much.
