Gerard paced back and forth as Jackie watched him. He had never felt such concern for another since the death of his parents, and he didn’t like it one bit. Even now, when he thought of such men so close to her, he wanted to rip their hearts from their chests. He also had a very strong desire to lock her in her room and make passionate love to her for so long that she didn’t have enough strength to leave the bed, let alone go out in the real world and put herself in such danger.
